    Same thoughts different interpretations

    Thanks Farmhand,
As I stated I'm still at student level in many areas of science. But that seems to make sense. I don't know about the Tesla Research group and what they are teaching. But I will test the pancake coil and the way they described it. There's a coil type that was used by the nazis in Germany that was either a conductor or capacitor that increased the voltage enough to make a motor generator device power itself and lights or small heater.
But, the story is old , nobody has seen one except the soldier that brought it back and those he sold one to. A lot of the theories are just that a lot of theories. So as a student of the ancient Bible, there are many different theories you hear there also. And here I read different theories and try to discern the true interpretation of ancient or modern science the best I can and use experiments to determine which is true. I'm at a great disadvantage because I'm just a student.

But thank you for the teachings. A good student becomes a wise teacher only by remaining a good student.

      Had me going

Well you guys had me going for a minute because I became falsely under the assumption that Tesla might have been talking about bifilar wound coils hooked up a certain way. You know how minds can wander and I made that mistake.

Self induction needs to be canceled out and I wonder if any of Tesla's patents ever really talked about that. According to what I have been reading around the web many devices are centered around this fact.

I know there is a great deal to learn from the patents and I thank you for that entry Bob, also thanks to Farmhand I now have the actual write up in patent form from Tesla himself.

I am going on 60 yrs and still a green horn when it comes to this stuff. I get sucked in easy with mysterious facts that might be related to hitting the jackpot.

I realize how Tesla had been treated, bullied and so forth and was smart enough to hiding everything due to his need to share but not with certain engineering personal.

So you see our dilemma. An angry genius is hard to out wit. We must dig for our gold.

However the patents are a great work and no one else write them like Tesla.
I love to focus on the patents and find the goodies first hand. I'll tell you who reads patents well is Peter L.

Okay enough said on that subject of studying and reading more text of general coil patent work. Wait Tesla wouldn't do that would he? Tesla wouldn't have gone out of his way to make a patent on a common coil unless there was something most EE missed that gave some extra knowledge.

I see Wesely and Kapagen work plus others building devices claiming OU based on coils wound in reverse to the first coil to cancel "self induction"

CANCELLING SELF INDUCTION so if anyone has ever read anything on CANCELLING SELF INDUCTION please let me know and so for now I will go back into hibernation til then.

      @Bob

If you understand my question please respond with the information if it is available to you. Thank you for your inspiring entries.

Humm.. What is related to self induction? Humm..

          Uncle I give.

Well how about a MAGNETIC FIELD? All coils have induction. It comes from itself or it "THE COIL" all by itself induces a magnetic field?

          w.youtube.com/watch?v=pKKsco9EgBQ

Other than that all I can think of is that the word "SELF" in the phrase "SELF INDUCTION" is in some way different than regular induction where in each case regardless of how we term a given phenomena.

So how does a coil "SELF INDUCE" because without electricity no induction of any kind takes place.

How did I do? Is the riddler setting me up for the fall?

Okay you guys keep playing hide and seek. See you in the spring, winter is coming.

But actually when you think about opposing sets of coils, they might be absorbing the BEMF from one another during the collapse. Some say lowering impedance.

Sleepy When The Questions are put to you

We can all see who is sleeping especially when real pointed questions are raised.

It's all about your little mystery questions game as you hide from answering.

People who have been here for 10 years know this from who answers and who plays this game of hide and seek. If you want to share don't play a game.

Oh you have jobs and oh you will get to it, oh kool it, I know all of the standard responses.

You are a waste of time.

Good day and I wouldn't care if you ever answered now.

I have read many of the past posts and no one is getting the desired effect and the little game keeps going as if you had some answer to help.

I will look in on your posts for the next 10 years hoping for something that shows me and others, results that line up with anything useable not just dangling folks with the mystery game you all play.

Now I am angry enough to stay away from these names. You want me to list the ones I see playing games?

              Well, I'll take a stab at Boguslaw's question, what's related to self-induction?
The way I understand it, self-induction is the production of electromotive force in a coil when the current in the coil changes. So, changing current and magnetism as well as voltage are related to self-induction of a coil.

My point at the beginning of this thread was a kind of query. It seemed to me that the oppositely wound wires of a series wound bifilar coil would attract one another. That is, their magnetic fields would be concentrated between windings. The swbifi coil also has hugely increased capacitance and really steps up voltage and reduces current (maybe because the current is concentrated along with the magnetic attraction between windings - not sure). Now, a magnet has its own dielectric plane which interacts with the dielectric, which through the magnet's agency, terminates as magnetism.

My question here is how does the swbifi coil interact with the dielectric due to magnetic attraction between its windings. I'm still trying to learn more about this unique coil topology.

I'll say a few more things later - have to step out for awhile.
              Bob

                Bob
Thanks for the thread Bob that is a really good question. I posted one video that I thought was good where the guy has a simple push button switch charges a coil up to 10vdc. There is a NEON across 2 points as shown and when the switch is released the energy stored in the coil lights the neon for an instant.

This is the place we all start when learning the power of stored energy in coils and how much there might be over and above the 10vdc source.

The Neon takes 90vdc to light yet he was only using 9X less then needed.

I really enjoyed your redirects to the old yahoo group posts.

The thread is a great question and I hope we can see posts in the future that show more experimental answers to your question.

                Regards, Mike

Two of your videos you posted don't even work. Which one are you referring to?

Are you being funny or negative? If you're being helpful I'd like to try that experiment,

Yes, self induction is emf, called counter emf or back emf. I guess because back emf is related to Lenz law here lies opportunity to eliminate/use Lenz law.
That's why this topic is so right

Sorry,Mike I have very limited time.

Is this the first time you ever did that? Or have you ever gotten rid of LENZ?

I am not sure what you are saying here. Did you do that?

Were there any experiments that made you think LENZ could be removed?

If you did do one experiment to remove Lenz please post the video or maybe explain what that might mean.

I am not sure if someone did away with what Laws?

Let us all know if any Law was made non functional.

When you have induction in a single coil, you get the formation of an opposing magnetic field and electromotive force (bemf) right? But if you induce a potential into a bifilar coil with opposing windings, the bemfs for each winding will also be in opposition to one another, cancelling other out, I think.
