Although i know that one of their favorite modus operandi (methods of operation) is to distract those who know how to think with their own heads (and do not afraid of doing it), i wouldn't say that in this particular case we could/should recognize that sort of method of operation...

We could agree or not in details (about 9/11 event) but if we are mature-adult persons it shouldn't yield up any kind of distraction among us, on the other hand: if we were stupid idiots then we wouldn't be able to attain any agreement on anything and/or to keep up with our mutual attitude on the main point of this issue which is that this was an inside job...

The bottom line regarding 9/11 event is that if they can get away with this then the sky is the limit for them!

If, now, we take, from the same map, the distance between Melbourne and Bluff Harbour, South New Zealand--1400 nautical, or 1633 statute miles--and take the difference of longitude between the two places, allowing 50 statute miles for the angular or diagonal direction of the route to Bluff Harbour, we find the degrees of longitude fully 70 statute miles; whereas, at the average latitude of the two places, viz., 42° S., the degrees, if the earth is a globe, would be less than 54 statute miles; thus showing that in the south, where the length of a degree of longitude should be 54 miles, it is really 70 miles, or 16 miles longer than would be possible according to the theory of the earth's rotundity.

From the above two cases we also find that the degrees of longitude at the latitude of Bluff Harbour, on the southern point of New Zealand, are somewhat longer than the degrees between Sydney and Nelson, where they ought to be--if the earth is globular--several miles less; and also that, according to the same doctrine, there is an excess of 7466 statute miles in the whole circumference.

Well, i did some calculations on above matter and i was compelled to conclude this: If the Earth surface were indeed Flat in the South Pole region wouldn't be possible for anyone to observe so called "polar day"!!! Polar night could be possible but "polar day" would be something completely beyond imagination, in other words "polar day" in Antartica would be utter impossibility!

So, South Pole is a hoax!

If you believe in god of Spinoza then that is theological and philosophical distraction. Luzzatto is getting all his information from the Vatican archives and apparently everyone was well aware of the allegations of fraud:

The allegations are not new: two successive popes regarded Padre Pio as a fraud. By 1920, when Pio was 33 and was already exhibiting his scars before masses of pilgrims, the church was worried that his cult was spinning out of control. Reports commissioned by the church claimed Pio regularly scourged himself with a metal-tipped whip, and had sex with women twice a week. For many years Pio was banned from celebrating mass in public.

Of particular concern to the church were the ugly, weeping wounds which Pio concealed under those fingerless gloves. The friar claimed that he had received the stigmata of Christ – wounds to his hands, feet and side like those suffered by Christ during his crucifixion – at the culmination of a mystical seizure.

A doctor sent by the Vatican to examine them concluded that the wounds were probably caused and maintained artificially. To test the hypothesis he bound the wounds and sealed the bandage to prevent it being tampered with. But on examination a month later the doctor was nonplussed to find that the wounds had failed to heal.

Padre Pio wouldn't be the first member of the Catholic Church — or the first friar — who was at first rejected by the establishment but later embraced after developing a tremendous popularity that threatened established lines of authority. The question is, what role did Pio's popularity play in the Vatican's decision to embrace and later canonize him?
