I DO agree with your point; every $ we spend, is a 'vote'; like the old expression 'vote with your feet', you also vote with your money. And, collectively, we DO have 'elections' every day; we 'vote' for cell phones, instead of the 'old' landline phones. We watch THIS T.V. show, and not THAT one.
And so, instead of buying a new house, for me and mine, i've bought a couple of 50 y.o. 'travel' trailers, (airstream type), and am remodeling them so they can be attached, to make a house. They are 'payed' for, as is my vehicles; a 1965 corvair, and a 1993 GMC 2 ton 'stepvan'. About to buy my 3rd vehicle, a used Isuzu NRR; so I can put the corvair on the back of it, and use it to pull one trailer, while i pull the other one with the stepvan.
So, NO credit, for ANYTHING. We are currently spending about 1/2 our income, for our daily living, and 'banking' the other 1/2, which I am investing in our lifestyle. Our home, when completed, will be solar powered. Currently living in a trailer park, with a rent of $250. Will eventually be able to live a modern equivalent of hunter/gatherer; cause I think MAYBE the best option for the future is to be able to MOVE, as needed, to avoid natural disasters or civil unrest, or whatever. And, as much as possible to be 'self-sufficient'.

Having looked at the state of the world, and contemplated 'what can we do to 'fix' it, and come to the conclusion there is NOTHING we can do, I'm preparing for what I see coming. Frankly, I see NOTHING 'we' can do to 'avoid' whats coming, or to, in the alternative, hurry it along. So, I am 'battening down the hatches', 'girding my loins', and, in my own way 'prepping' for me and mine. As I have posted on before, its not 'humanity', but 'civilisation' that is the problem, really. Or, put another way, all the problems we have are a direct result of the decision to settle in one place, and stop being H/G'ers. But, thats my 'take', and I certainly COULD be wrong. Jim

Solzhenitsyn have theorized a lot about possible modes of insurrection of Russian people (as well as of members of other nations that had been during those times squashed by communist iron boot) while they have been severe suffering upon Stalin's terror in USSR, but all he came upon was an ridiculous idea of conquering enemy by art:

Had someone could have opportunity to ask Solzhenitsyn about seriousness of his claims of "omnipotent art" then it would have been very interesting to see how Solzhenitsyn would have conciliated above words with next words of him:

Quite simply, no state can live without war, that is one of the state's essential functions. ... War is the price we pay for living in a state. Before you can abolish war you will have to abolish all states. But that is unthinkable until the propensity to violence and evil is rooted out of human beings.

Concerning Međugorje we have to chose between these two solutions:

        1. It is happening: it is authentic.
        2. It is not happening: it is not authentic.

If 1 then we have no excuse and my critics to God were so off...

If 2 then my critics directed to God's indifference could have some basis in reality...

Paul Before the AreopagusHe is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we also are His children.'

I dare say that in truth it is not the situation that's wrong, but your expectations or perceptions, leading to confusion because apparently it doesn't make sense according to what you think it should be. In other words if your perception of cause is incorrect, then you will never comprehend effect.

Where did you get your idea of "god"? How do you expect to receive an answer? By e-mail??

Expect nothing that will not present itself as an idea to/through one or more people, and through all of nature itself. Will you listen to them, or will you say "you are not god" and ignore it? What form of action do people expect god's supposed intervention to take? Do they expect to wake up one day and see a completely different world, as if their house was plucked from the ground and placed on another planet? Their problems solved on their behalf so they don't have to take responsibility or make use of their skills, the ultimate sin. Nothing will happen until they act themselves. As you will to move your hand, one cannot will God to do it on your behalf.

This is the way it has always been. Inspired individuals express their "inner creativity" as it's called and they advance all mankind in the process. One could say that this is as much "god's doing" as it is man's doing, since the source of all things is one, man is an expression of the universal source and so all that man expresses the universe expresses. This is equally true scientifically as it is in accord with Jesus' teachings before unenlightened individuals decided to interpret it into a religion, as it is in accord with all other logical ancient philosophies that have come before. "God's will" is expressed through you, and so you cannot will to move your hand back to the source to do it "on your behalf", it's an impossibility since it is your hand that must move. The power of all the universe is yours to move it yourself. But "blasphemy!" the religions say! Do you beat your heart, or does it beat itself?

ALL things are "allowed" in the universe, it doesn't differentiate between "good" and "evil" as humans perceive it from their limited viewpoint. Today's destructive volcano is tomorrow's mountain top, is it good, or is it evil? Specifically to this planet, people allow it. People themselves elect other people into power, the whole thing is currently acceptable/tolerable because it doesn't inconvenience them too much, in fact there are too many conveniences that don't make it worth the effort/risk of trying to change it. There is no one else to blame.

Yes, in theory! I don't go along with the "poor us" thinking so some might think I'm being harsh. Apparently people say "it doesn't matter who you vote for, nothing ever changes", and yet they continue to vote anyway. So they know full well nothing will be solved already. The theory is that if you get tricked, you learn not to fall for it again, hence "society" develops. As far as I can tell, most people handle this kind of situation pretty easily in everyday life and learn from their mistakes, but it seems when they come together to form a group there is simply complete idiocy that defies belief, because they don't learn a damn thing.

What REAL developments have there been? People are still homeless, people are still hungry, people are still being killed by other people etc. We have the problem of "crime", and the most creative solution to this problem is a deterrent and a threat, to lock them in a room and hope they learn their lesson. In jail they are threatened with such things as having their TV watching privileges taken away, god forbid!

If it's the threat of being punished that stands between someone committing a crime or not, then the problem is far deeper than they seem to realise. If the thought or desire remains then there has been no development whatsoever, only the illusion of such through reduced levels of crime in the statistics. Criminal thinking is developed within society itself, it's not apart from it, criminals spawn from exactly the same society as the "good" people, and like all things in nature crime can only exist in an environment that allows criminal activity to flourish, hence society as a whole is sick, not only those who have been identified as the criminals. If you want to combat a disease then you must also take its environment into consideration, it doesn't exist independently of all else.

It's not a matter for one person to come up with a solution. But first people need to realise how the mess has come about to begin with, otherwise they will simply continue to elect other fools who come and go within a framework that never changes. Once they have accepted that they are responsible for having caused it (this will be faced with resistance), then they are equally empowered to being able to do something else, but they must also realise that responsibility always lies with them personally, as they are currently personally responsible for whatever they have allowed their leader to do in their name and on their behalf, because the leader has no power that is not given to him through society being in agreement. Fighting and protesting against "the system" is like plugging a powerful robot into a power supply and then trying to physically defeat it in a fist fight - an impossible task. It's already defeated through disconnecting the power supply.

The moral of the story of Noah

Sometimes the minority view is correct. Only 8 were saved in Noah's ark. They had 120 years of Noah's righteous preaching but it did very little good. The predicted flood came and everyone died except for Noah and his family. Even if you don't believe the flood really happened you ought to be able to see the point. Think for yourself and try to fathom the truth. You owe it to yourself to at least TRY TO THINK.
There is a reason why science has been successful and technology is widespread. Don't be afraid to do the math and apply the laws of physics.

                  Human stupidity is infinite!

And not just that stupidity is infinite, what is also infinite is human selfishness, here what Solzhenitsyn had to said on this human characteristic:
I have not studied Solzhenitsyn, maybe I should at some point so I can see where your coming from.

You speak of the danger in standing up, but you don't speak of the danger of doing nothing. The truth is they are attacking us while we sleep with soft kill techniques. Many of us are dead already and just don't know it yet. To them its a turkey shoot.

I agree, the stupidity of man never fails to amaze me. 100 people stand and wait to be shot by 6 men! by doing nothing they all die, if they charged maybe only 1/3rd would die. This happened in the WWII death camps.

Im not being facetious when I say this, Do you still eat and drink fluoride? Thats one reason they did nothing.

If you know your going to die at the hands of a gunman, would you not try to physically disarm him to prevent yours and others deaths? especially if you outnumber him. We outnumber them by at least 1,000,000 to 1.

You do seem very pessimistic and apathetic

                    Right On AC

My grand parents use to say "everybody has a hand and a brain as well as the next" This was their slogan when people would moan and groan about how they thought (In their version of God) they needed someone to help them all of the time. Calling out for help and handouts when they should be getting off their duffs and making something happen.

I hear so called preachers doing this, going on about how they can't make ends meet, begging for money for this and that.

God has given each of us everything we need to make it thru so all of this whining out to HIM for almost nothing is very childish.

Not everyone is as grown up as the next, huh?

These saying were from the early pioneer days in the USA when people HAD to work they could not just sit around waiting for the mail. Now-A-Days there are very few "Self Made Men" who even have the drive to produce anything.

So it's off to the church for a turkey and can food, then down to the salvation army then the checks come either from the SS because they are somehow disabled mentally or physically at age 30yrs with absolutely nothing wrong with them other than they don't want to work.

Work is what God made man to do to fulfill his responsibilities, it is the most wonderful thing for a real man to be at work. Later work became harder because of the curse of sin but not impossible.

You would think it was not not possible listening to the excuse making, of course they make it look like it is somebodies fault, God or whoever, right?

Now aside from all of these basics.

What people fail to do is to simply acknowledge that we are made like HE is and that like any Father and Son relationship, a Father does not want HIS son acting like he doesn't know his own DAD.

Dad is the creator, what an insult to clear thinking or intellectual dishonesty to see the creation and act like there is no creator.

There is no excuse. The RULE OF LAW is not function as well as it should according to THE LAW GIVER'S instructions. Everyone has access to it, no one can read and understand it and the preacher/snakes make sure it is totally confused.

However this is the plan. Now also one other very important thing.

All of the dark days and dark people who hate God and hate each other will not stop those from following the RULE OF LAW which will always be their success.

If you have followed the RIGHTEOUS RULES OF THE LAW you will experience greater success.

                    Mike

Of course they got the jump start on us. Yes, partially because we have been dumbed down, the majority don't want to believe it, and many get tricked and tricked again. Those that have done this have used systems of control, via group think, to keep us in our place. I see it working on many people in this thread to varying degrees, including myself. That's why I wont discuss some things as it plays into the group think mentality

Exactly, we need to educate but your last line is the most accurate thing. We take away their power, which is out acquiescence. We turn their biggest weapon of control against them, the money system.

                            • The First ever RULE OF LAW or NOT?

One of the very first rules laid out in a story of old was one found in the beginning and maybe some see these as analogies who knows but here goes.

The story goes(and we all know this one) that once upon a time in a land of plenty was a garden story. The man who lived there had a name, it was ADAM.

This guy had it all but was down in the dumps being so alone not that the ALMIGHTY didn't come around and hang out in the morning breeze to chat but that HE wasn't there every minute.

SO the All Knowing made him a help meet. By the way a help meet not a help mate guys big diff. Anyway she came to help the man MEET his obligations.

She represents the other aspects of God that men do not possess and this is a great mystery.

Okay later they had a couple of children, HUH? Well man can't do that one alone so HE was doing some things here changing the way ADAM stayed busy, HUH?

Now the children came shortly after ADAM and EVE got into a little trouble second guessing the boss, you know the drill.

The children played together like good little bunchKins til they grew older and were known for their separate occupations. The one kid could really grow great crops and the other did some growing of his own but instead produced sheep.

So this is one story everyone knows. The story goes that A RULE OF LAW was given and it had to do with correcting things between HIM and man.

The LAW GIVER decided that the rule would be that because mankind had goofed things up that the way HE could make this stand out so man didn't keep doing it was this.

THE LAW was to slaughter a lamb each year as a reminder. Of course we all know now that the reason was so later, Christ who is called THE LAMB of GOD that takes away the sins of the world could take the place of the little lamb in the ADAM and EVE town.

Okay so THE RULE OF LAW was to bring a bloody sacrifice each years.

Pretty nasty offering in the mind of men and since Cain did not do lambs he decided he would chuck the bloody lamb idea and surprise the BOSS.

Cain rejected this LAW or THE RULE OF LAW laid out by the BOSS and just like before was second guessing the LAW GIVER.

Man has been doing that ever since.

You see Cains pretty garden greens were a picture of mans good works and this way man can work his way into THE BOSSES favor.

The Boss does not except a man on the basis of his self righteous works.

The KING wants you to listen to HIM and be a friend, and a friend does not just turn a deaf ear concerning RULES OF FRIENDSHIP.

If you hurt someone and really care about making things right you must do everything in your power to win that person back.

It is the ugly bloody slaughter of the innocent LAMB in exchange for your blood Mr. that is THE RULE OF LAW like or not.

                              Mike

                              • Well, i fight my demons (as St. Paul did), i quarrel and put forward objections to God mostly because i too often (overwhelmed with emotions) forget how this world is immanently connected with the spiritual realm as undividable part of the existence as a whole...I know that...but i can't help myself so my arguing with God continues as well as my childish and narrowed view (on the emotional level) of life and it's hidden principles maintains essentially unchanged...

If there were no evil, there wouldn't be possibility of actualizing free will of man, i am aware of that too, but i am still helpless in my weakness...

                                What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
10 as it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one; 11 There is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God 12 All have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one. 13 Their throat is an open grave, with their tongues they keep deceiving, the poison of asps is under their lips; 14 whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness
...12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned - 13 for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. ...15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. 16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. 17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

And now let see what else i think you have not figured out (extracted) from my complaints (as a consequence of emotional distraction) and spiritual comebacks (in humbleness): Faith is a substance, Believing is a process!

And now let learn precious historical lesson about faith in the power of the human reason (and human deeds) vs faith in the power of God:

                                Example 1:
Then he (Attila the Hun) arrived in Italy. Italy was a very important country, because it was the seat of the Roman Empire. In fact, the Huns were the only real threat facing the Roman Empire, and was a gateway to the entire European continent. Taking Italy would be a disaster for the entire Western World. An interesting fact is that the history of Venice is intertwined with that of Attila the Hun. To escape the brutality of Attila, many Italians fled to the islands of Venice for protection. Eventually they built a great city there. Attila planned to destroy Italy, and conquered it, as he had done with many other places.

When he arrived in Rome, he met with the Pope. While there, Attila saw Sts. Peter and Paul appearing with swords standing near the Pope. Those around Attila were surprised that he decided not to attack Rome, so he explained to them what he had witnessed...

"The apparition of the two apostles of St. Peter and St. Paul, who menaced the barbarian with instant death if he rejected the prayer of their successor, is one of the noblest legends of ecclesiastical tradition. The safety of Rome might deserve the interposition of celestial beings; and some indulgence is due to a fable which has been represented by the pencil of Raphael and the chisel of Algardi."
                                Example 2:
1571 - The Battle of Lepanto
The victory at Lepanto is the most famous and important of the military victories through the Rosary.

On October 7, 1571 the Turk's attempted to invade Christian Europe at Lepanto on the coast of Greece. The Pope asked Catholics to pray the Rosary with the intention that the Turk's attack would fail.

The Christians were out numbered 3 to 1.
Thanks to the Rosary prayers and against all odds, the Christians were victorious, sinking 200 Turkish ships and killing 50,000 of their men.
The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is now celebrated on October 7th every year in memory of this miraculous victory.
This famed battle inspired G.K. ChestertonPius V, to be unfurled. Christians up and down the battle line cheered as they saw the giant blue banner bearing an image of our crucified Lord.

Knowing that the Christian forces were at a distinct material disadvantage, the holy pontiff, St. Pope Pius V called for all of Europe to pray the Rosary for victory. We know today that the victory was decisive, prevented the Islamic invasion of Europe, and evidenced the Hand of God working through Our Lady. At the hour of victory, St. Pope Pius V, who was hundreds of miles away at the Vatican, is said to have gotten up from a meeting, went over to a window, and exclaimed with supernatural radiance: "The Christian fleet is victorious!" and shed tears of thanksgiving to God. Example 3:
                                The Soviet occupation of Austria
The question as to why the Soviets finally decided to abandon their military presence in eastern Austria in the spring of 1955 and to agree to a negotiated withdrawal has preoccupied historians ever since...In the words of one analyst, "the Soviets had become not only disinterested in Austria, but eager to leave."[33] Not so MolotovRaabFreedom through prayer
                                Example 4:
The battle for Sinj (Croatia) 1715. The Christians were out numbered 10 to 1.

                                Example 5:
Victory attributed to a miracle - Battle of New Orleans
With the Americans outnumbered it seemed as though the city of New Orleans was in danger of being captured. Consequently, the Ursuline nuns along with many faithful people of New Orleans gathered in the Ursuline Convent's chapel before the statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. They spent the night before the battle praying and crying before the holy statue, begging for the Virgin Mary's intercession.

On the morning of January 8, the Very Rev. William Dubourg, Vicar General, offered Mass at the altar on which the statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor had been placed. The Prioress of the Ursuline convent, Mother Ste. Marie Olivier de Vezin, made a vow to have a Mass of Thanksgiving sung annually should the American forces win. At the very moment of communion, a courier ran into the chapel to inform all those present that the British had been defeated.

General Jackson went to the convent himself to thank the nuns for their prayers: "By the blessing of heaven, directing the valor of the troops under my command, one of the most brilliant victories in the annals of war was obtained." [55] The vow made by Mother Ste. Marie has been faithfully kept throughout the years.
                                Example 6:
Rosary in Croatian war for independence

                                Example 7:
The Pope continued: "Many wish to know simply from curiosity and a taste for the sensational, but they forget that knowledge also implies responsibility. They only seek the satisfaction of their curiosity, and that is dangerous if at the same time they are not disposed to do something, and if they are convinced that it is impossible to do anything against evil."
At this point the Pope grasped a Rosary and said: "Here is the remedy against this evil. Pray, pray, and ask for nothing more. Leave everything else to the Mother of God."Unveiling the Apocalypse: John Paul II - The Third Secret and a Prophecy of a Mega-tsunami?
