Hi, ive been experimenting with electric for some time now and decided that i need to move in the direction of static electric because it seems like something that needs to be studied more. Ive built a newman / wimshurst generator Double newman/wimshurst - YouTube
Has snyone else experimented with this type of project?
I have a ton of ideas that im testing now that ive got it up and running. It lights a flouresent bulb if the bulb is in my hand and ive taken a few very nice shocks from it so far but still i cant help doing more capacitor tests and seeing how the static electric behaves. My question is ... Does any one know how i can get the current up. Can i keep dumping these static discharges into a battery?ive left a 9v near the spark and it did seem to charge a bit... Has anyone else tryed this ? Also can anyone suggest a book or 2 on the subject
