what about the research into creating biodiesel with algae it's a viable option as it can turn many waste byproducts directly into fuel and has the potential to work with fresh or salt water systems. oh and solar is only as good as your storage at night.

Good subject idea. It would be great if a book, a unbiased documentary, or such was created to cover this completely.

If you placed a " "(blank) into a biosphere and locked them in, what would they do to survive? You fill in the blank with whatever or whoever is against saving our planet and lives.

But in the biosphere they have rules:
1. Can't leave
2. Only what air, water, light, and vegetation inside the biosphere- is all you have
3. The above can only be cleaned, filtered, or grown by the occupants in the sphere
4. There will be no help from outside the biosphere

Now would those put in such a scenario be more diligent and mindful of the above listed #2?
Would they light a fire inside a glass dome where the only breathable air is?

You get the picture I'm sure.

If we don't change ourselves and this cancerous energy system, we stand no chance of living on this biosphere called earth.

So there are no pros and cons, imo and concern, only a choice.

One thing I always ask myself in terms of alternative energy sources is: How much not-renewable and environmentally unfriendly sources are used for example to produce a photovoltaic cell. Does an electrically powered car really save that much fossil fuel?
