I hope you find the association to be interesting and helpful. To start a conversation, allow me to ask you your opinion of the oil industry. Good, bad or indifferent? Are they doing all they can? All they should? Are they "responsible"? In what ways are they acting responsibly? Is the coal industry any better? I don't mean to chase you away. But, you might as well know that you are about to be introduced to opinions from all points on the spectrum.

Again, welcome. I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Wow, what a very interesting question. When I first read this there are a lot of opinions that pops-up into my mind. In my opinion, Oil industry contributed a lot especially in terms of economy but we all know also that they are one of the sources of pollution .However, this pollution can be minimized and or prevented by strictly following the rules and regulations set by our authorities.

I live next to ND and travel much of the state for my job. I have also studied some of the effects of Fracking. ND is fracking for oil, not natural gas, so the industry openly admits that they are letting the majority of natural gas escape and go into the atmosphere. Flaring helps, but the gas is being wasted and making up a large chunk of the emissions causing the global warming problem.

I have been to Williston, ND. The residents say the water tastes like petroleum. There is a frack rig no greater than 1 mile outside of town. These people are either not following their own safety rules, or the industry failed to fully explain the risks, or they don't care. Probably all of the above.

Lake Sakakawea runs through Williston and flows hundreds of miles through ND & SD. They are spreading this stuff all over. Also, disposal wells are down 2 miles, and the frack fluid is proving to be lubricating ancient fault lines and causing earthquakes. The latest frack-induced quakes are over 4.0 on the Richter scale. Oklahoma and Arkansas have hundreds of these quakes every year.

There was a married couple that owned a farm near Killdeer, ND. They had a temporary disposal "frack pit" above ground, built on their land. The frack-pit leaked and the cows and farm animals continued to drink the water.

just look up Killdeer, ND on YouTube, and you will see what frack fluid does to people & animals that accidentally consume it.

So who’s going to be blame for this and are oblige to the authorities of the harmful effects that it might possibly brought to human and animals too?

              thread name "hi everyone"

In terms of thread etiquette, shouldn't we create threads that have
a specific subject or topic ... and not just a "hi everyone" thread.
Some of us like to search for interesting threads by their title.
              Just sayin'

You might want to scan the threads first, and see what they did to my ideas over the last week on this discussion before you post ANYTHING. Keep it to yourself and go PERSONALLY talk to the moderator at HereticBuilders discussion group. The people that stay here are religious fanatics and don't fully understand the science before openly ripping your idea apart anyway.

It has happened to everybody here that has tried. Everybody.

Off the bat, you may wish to tell Aaron (moderator) to please stay off your discussions. He is attempting to blanket everybody else's thoughts with selling his $7 book about theoretical Nitrogen Technology.

If he sees anything about any Hydrogen technology, he will attack your idea. He may attack you if it's not hydrogen, anyway, since he did it before to someone.

He does not claim to be working on any Nitrogen experiments, and simply wrote the book from what he "thought" would work. It's $7 bucks.
