On reading Tesla's Colorado Springs Notes I see that Tesla says for power
transmission the transformation ratio is most important and is the method that
must prevail.

As far as I can tell the basic principal is that a resonant ground
connected transformer with an aerial capacitance will cause currents to flow
through the ground and if another resonant ground connected receiver is
tuned to the same vibration depending on the strength and frequency of the
currents being sufficient it can receive and transform the ground currents into
an output at a distance with no solid connection except the earth.
The voltage achieved at the Air terminal capacitance, it's capacitance and
the resistance the currents are met with determine the strength and
magnitude of the currents. The frequency used has an effect also, the higher
the frequency that is used relatively reduces the effective distance, or
increases the losses over distance.
For the power transmission side to work well, I think only a full sized system
would be efficient. ie, one that was tuned to the size of the planet and was
powerful enough to impress the required vibrations.
I don't see any reason to believe that any of us will be able to achieve more
than "signal strength" transmissions over a distance or quite lossy
transmission of "some usable" energy over a relatively short distance while
using frequencies that are too high.
We can see the results Tesla got lighting some incandescent bulbs from a
fairly short distance with his multi million volt oscillator at less than 100 kHz
less than 50 kHz actually I think.. I don't think any of us will do better than that.
"ground" wire transmissions like Meyl shows are a piece of cake. The lower the
voltage and frequency the less energy escapes, Meyl uses HF but low voltage
and only short distance and he uses a (WIRE). for pete's sake.
This is just my uneducated take on the whole saga.
Eventually I intend to do more experiments with fairly low frequencies 2 kHz-20 kHz
and moderately high voltage and resonance while using only the ground as a
conductor over reasonably short distances and using moderate power levels.
