It seems like all the warnings about cellphones and cancer had died down a bit and now they are bringing them back. I kind of thought that with the widespread use of bluetooth headsets that they would center the study more around those and their effect on the brain.

Data from the IARC study showed that overall, mobile telephone users in fact had a lower risk of brain cancer than people who had never used one, but the 21 scientists who conducted the study said this finding suggested problems with the method, or inaccurate information from those who took part.

Could cellphones actually reduce the risk of brain tumors? I am sure if the IARC study would have shown heightened tumors in cellphone users, the scientist would have backed the data, but since it is contrary to what they were looking for, the test is undoubtedly flawed.

It just proves that the problem in many scientific studies is the humans deciphering the data.

This topic is preposterous. If microwaves caused cancer, the police would refuse to use radar guns and airport radar tower operators would all be in hospitals or dead. Television broadcast towers would cause nearby people and animals to get cancer.

People would not get cancer if they live healthy life. From what I read so far, anything can be accused of cancer and some of them overlap between what causing and what cure cancer.

There are people who believe any device who produce high frequency can cause cancer, and yet there are some yahoo group that believe high frequency can cure cancer.

Many forum member who work near electronic device, even with cellphone frequency, for years live healthy and do not experience brain tumor.

Cancer is a catch all word for many diseases, most which are identified by deformed or abnormal cells growing in a hap hazardous manner.

So anything that can mess up your cell structure can cause cancer which includes high doses of radiation, harmful toxins we pick up daily, man made chemical substances etc, etc. If our bodies couldn't rid itself of toxins and kill foreign microscopic invaders on a daily basis we'd die within months of any number of cancer, parasites, viruses, etc.

A strong immune system bolstered by good eating habits, plenty of blood/oxygen flow and a high activity level is the only thing that will prevent any number of diseases including cancer.

While its not advisable to expose yourself needlessly to the toxins that can hurt you, your body is more than capable of dumping them out if you keep it in good working order.

That's okay for toxins, but microwave and other frequencies aren't toxins, necessarily. They are electrical signals as is most of our bodies. Electrical signals are used to carry nerve impulses and for thinking. They are also used in the construction of cells and the passing of the DNA from cell to cell. We are very much electrical beings. Bombarding ourselves with electrical signals that are being generated outside our bodies can have an affect on the body and the individual cells. The ethereal structure that our physical body is built on is electric in nature. I think low frequency signals are probably more dangerous to us than high frequencies, but holding a microwave transmitter next to your brain for long periods of time can't be good.
