Wiki is a horrible reference but visit: Wikipedia then search for something and wait a few seconds

    WAKE UP AMERICA!

GO HERE ASAP: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE THEN CONTACT YOUR REPS!!!

    Take Action Against Sopa

Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.

Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.
The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami

              archive.org on strike

Archive.org also striking out against SOPA

12 Hours Dark: the Internet Archive vs. Censorship

The Internet Archive believes that it is critical to protest and raise awareness of pending legislation in the United States: House Bill 3261, The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and S.968, the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA).
We are going dark from 6am to 6pm PST on Wednesday, January 18 (14:00 - 02:00 UTC) to drive a message to Washington. We need your help to do this.

Legislation such as this directly affects libraries (pdf) such as the Internet Archive, which collects, preserves, and offers access to cultural materials. Furthermore, these laws can negatively affect the ecosystem of web publishing that led to the emergence of the Internet Archive.
For United States residents, please take action.
For non-US Residents: Sorry for dragging you into this, and if you are willing please sign a petition to the State Department to express your concern.
              Sincerely,
              Aaron Murakami

                Hi All,

My take is this is yet another power grab by our do nothing legislative leaders backed by the corporations that have no other alternative from the lack of stopping countries like China, Russia and Canada from stealing copyrighted material and our country leaders saying and doing nothing to those countries that have, only to punish whom they can ..... everyone else, that's you and me.

We have enough laws ... just enforce them !!

This is not about being American or not, if this legislation is put in it effects the entire internet and in every country.

For those of you that are American I agree with Web000x. Those of you that are not could also call the US representatives as you are effected. We have to get the message across.

I'm Canadian and find this unfortunate this SOPA Bill.

Why not transfer the forum on a Canadian or European Server that is solely a company of that country? In Europe, open source is a no-touch.

Were is the freedom of speech in America? Is America loosing his rights?
