I am a long way from recovery, so please keep going!

I am back home since Saturday night.

It has been, and continues to be, a really powerful growing experience. So much good has already come of it, and I know much more is coming.

As strange as it sounds to me, and probably does to many others even more, it almost seems as if everything has/is being orchestrated for the purpose of an intensive growing time, a time where I will emerge on the other side with benefits large and small that could have come no other way.


A few surface details, if you are interested I can share more when I have bit more energy and time:

Was in an accident where a truck hit me in a manner, that no matter how many times I look at it, it just does not make sense. I finally stopped trying to figure it out yesterday when I realized I was just going in circles.

As soon as I am able to TRV again I will find out exactly what happened, how, why, what I was thinking etc.

(I currently have no conscious memory of the accident or the minute preceding it, or for quite awhile after it.) They say I have no brain damage or trauma I will find out the exact specifics after I TRV it.

Lots of broken bones, fractured bones...in addition to what Jill listed, pelvis is fractured in two places, leg is not crushed, but the tibia was broken so close to the knee socket that they did have to put a plate in.

5 broken bones in foot, and 4 more bones in same foot are fractured.

Am running SCIO since being home, and have added a bunch of special instructions to my PATHS Platinum.

Recovery so far has been at an accelerated pace that more than a few doctors have commented on.

They are saying 3 months before any weight on my right foot and 6-12 months before I am walking on my own again... we will see.


Thanks again for the concern, prayers, and positive intentions, they are very much appreciated.

I will definitely be sharing the TRV data when I get it.

What a delight to see your posts this evening! I, along with so many others, have been so worried about you, so knowing you are home and able to do some posting is very comforting... But...it sure sounds like you have had quite a difficult time and have a great deal of healing to do...

I have always believed that all events happen for a reason and we have much to learn from each experience that appears in our "reality", so hearing you say that this seemingly unfortunate event has become a growing experience for you is a testament to your infinite wisdom. Please know that I will continue to send you so much love, light & healing energy as you make your recovery, my friend.

Thinking nothing but good things about you, Kevin, seeing cells de-differentiating, rebuilding you from the inside, restoring your body to health and full fitness.

I'm imagining each minute blastema forming rapidly, spiraling out from the every broken edge of bone, already padding the breaks in new tissue and preparing to start knitting and bonding the bone back together perfectly over the coming months.

I'm seeing you calmly and at your own pace recovering the missing details, fitting together the "why" piece by piece in a way that sets your mind at ease and leaves you in awe of and humbled by the grand design.

I'm envisioning those who love you seeing your state of mind stay positive and confident as you recover, and them drawing strength and faith from you rather than being worried for you.

I'm confident you're getting better day by day. I just know you're all over this, and you'll be back on your feet, and more importantly, back on a bike, in no time flat. Take it nice and easy mate, you're going to be fine. You are going to be fine.

I've made a few doctors sit up and say "whoa" when I've had broken bones too. I actually have had to get a bone in my hand broken again because it had started to knit before it had been set, we're talking a matter of 12 hours from the time it was broken The accelerated physical recovery is truly all in the mind, I'm not going to teach you to chew cheese, but I will slap you a hearty high five since obviously you know how this biz works. You're going great. Be well.

Been home over a week now. Making big strides in improvement.

Have a doctor appointment tomorrow with an ortho to plan out rehab, etc.

Will be interesting to see what he thinks...am I behind schedule, ahead, or normal.

As mentioned earlier...as strange as it sounds, I am at complete peace and don't feel like there is any place I could be that would be better than where I am at right now.

Like it says on my facebook page, "Life is an Adventure". This is yet another one that is yielding all kinds of benefits!

Been off of this forum for quite some time now! Just got back from my holidays, I was so sorry to read about this now! I'm glad to hear that you're seeing the best and positive side to it, however.

Well even though you might find this a positive, growing experience I hope you're not suffering too much or in too much pain. Do get well soon, Kevin!

Had doctors appointment on Tuesday.

Whoa! They wore me out! Took all kinds of xrays, moved me around a lot...caused a lot of pain then (and for a couple days after).

Bottom line is that everything looks like it is healing very quickly.

The crown jewel was when the doctor asked if I could bend my leg.

I moved it slowly all the way to a bit past a 90 degree angle, watching his face the whole time...

He was pretty surprised how much flexibility I had in my knee.

Typically at this stage, after this type of surgery, most people have a hard time getting to even 60 degrees. So when I moved it past the 90 degree point...it was one of those Priceless moments


Between all the prayers, positive energy, EPFX, and Platinum PATHS instructions, it appears that I am on a very accelerated track for healing up.

They are still saying another 9-10 weeks before I can put any weight at all on my right foot...but they have revised the time they think it will be before I am walking normally again....

Initially they were saying 6-12 months, now they are saying 4-8 months.

I am not going to rush it....but, I bet it will be surprising how fast it is!
