Maine Sovereignty Resolution

Here in Maine a Sovereignty Resolution was drafted and presented to the House Legislative Council, which voted 6-4 to kill the resolution. All of the nay votes were cast by Democrats. I can't fathom why any of Maine's legislators would not stand behind states rights, but it looks like the Democrats are more beholden to the federal government than to the state they were elected to serve. I'm hoping this can be brought up again in the next session, and that we can organize enough public pressure to push this through.

Of course I do understand that what we really need to do is to kick out all the current legislators - not just one party. They are both as corrupt as all getout. No taxation without representation?

Its all about the econ stupid...
The rats are usually the last to abandon a sinking vessel. When 99% of our reps are lawyers. Most have sold thier souls to not only a certain party affiliation but mostly to thier $$ corporate sponsors.
Gov like our legal system is all about the $$. Since the Fed is now in the process of mortgaging the country into bankruptcy. Its time to plan exit strategies to satisfy certain voters hoping for prayer to make.
Even this being done with mirrors and smoke is nothing more than
a political stunt.
The image of pre war Germany with folks carring wheelbarrows full of cash to buy bread comes to mind. The scout motto of "Be Prepared" seems to be ones best montra for the future of this once great country. Sold out to corruption.
