skype calls
That is the service I actually have - it's great.Originally posted by minoly View PostTrue,
Unless you have a skype phone number and pay the $30/year for service (may be more - this is with discount). with this you get unlimited local and "in-country"(? depends on your country) long distance...
Thanks,
Patrick
I just get credits to call outside of US or Canada and a few cents per minute.

I may be wrong, but I think you have the time wrong, are you not the same as the UK? Maybe I've messed up my calulations?

Check time
Originally posted by Keyos View PostOk, thanks for the fix on the time, so for me (Italy) it's Thursday 4th August at 16:00 local (GMT+1)
I need to have the time confirmed as i'll need to leave my work 2 hours earlier and i would not make a mistake
We have to call at that exact time or earlier?
Thanks for the advice, i'v been checking prices and skype charge me about 1/10 of what would make my local phone company, so i would prefer to call by skype on my pc, but if using skype could cause problems like access dinied, interruptions or connections lost in the middle of the event i don't mind to spend a little more and use regular phone, i never joined conference calls before so i have no experience to make the right choice...

Keyos, skype is how I have been recommended to call in. As for the language issue, just ask and I am sure others and myself will help to get it explained.

To bad i was unable to go at r-charge conference, i hope they will make more of them in the future, but i am lucky enought to have found this event so i signed up immediately!
I am from Italy and i am not very good talking english but i'll try to follow what ever you and others will say, i hope there will be no problems for me calling from my country, i would prefer to use skype because i have no idea how much it will cost me using a regular phone but if skype means only trouble like someone said already than i have no doubts to take my dear old phone for the event
Looking forward to the event me too!
