no pun intended). The most common use of wavelength is in antenna calculation and with regard to radio.
. Any length of coils will get you some output, but in order to get "the right" output, the coils need to be balanced for proper receiving. This is especially true with high Q systems (mostly inductive, aka coils) because they have a much lower functional bandwidth than a dipole (straight wire). If you had the system working perfectly at resonance, you'd see that there is a VERY clear difference.
