BTW, if I hold my finger with extremely light pressure on the transmitter tower I get a mean bite from that sonofa*****.

You just told us something personal You are not a surgeon! you must be a creative man that works with his hands, or your exciter is way out of tune. Sounds like you have HV, but wrong freq, that would explain the FL's, have you tried a little neon?

18-1's came in the mail, and I am excited! Thank you Dr Stiffler.
I would have to say the chip was excellently soldered. Very professional work.

One question though, I noticed there were no parasitic capacitance plates. Does it need it? I might have to make them.

Once I can get 1 running I will get the other 3 running. Once I have data I will publish it with my name on it, respecting the inventor. I will give these away for free to local people. I dont trust the mail... my stuff is always coming back broken.

Someone honestly needs to load up on these SEC circuits and take a trip to Africa and help people by setting up power stations. I think the 3rd world might have a bigger chance for utopian life in the next 5 to 10 years because of all the alternative energy techs people bring there... and how the big cities will always remain the same, with people and credit and big screen TV's that dont let you think original thoughts.

Also the diodes at the back of the led board - is there a schematic that I missed? I saw the picture but I couldnt tell exactly where things were put.

Is there a 18-1 assembly document? I saw the 15- and 20- document.

Did you download the documentation from my site?

The 18-1 is tested and tuned as shown in the document and for this purpose no plate is required. Also in my last video's you see I use no plates. Normally all the required capacity is built into the board design.

What diodes on bottom of board? there are none. The open component spaces are for different versions, like the strictly academic version.

Sir is there a way I can obtain the document you posted to scribd in a form that will allow me to print it on 8.5x11. The pdf does not allow it nor the other forms from scribd, looks like you did it landscape or something. Sorry I'm a book man and can not read and absorb more than 1/2 page from a screen, I need to hold and touch it.

I hope scribd just locked the file up, because 2 years ago, my pc took the original .doc file with it in a puff of smoke.

I have tried to convert the .pdf to .doc format for several hours today with no luck.

I set up an account with www.gmail.com

And emailed it there where it can be downloaded.

I hope you are able to get it to print in landscape, and it should print on letter size with the 'fit to page' option so there will be 2 pages on each page.

Otherwise I'll have to try convert it into images and port to a .doc


It doesn't have aether theory, at the time I didn't even know about scalar waves

I'll keep fishing around for the .doc version too, just in case.

Let me know how it goes, and if it's no go in current form, I'll try manually convert it for you.

The Famous SEC 18-1

I got my SEC 18-1 a few days ago and have been testing it non-stop. All I can say is WOW! In the first place if you have built a SEC 15-3 and worked with it for months, you will see the difference right away in performance. It is much better than a 15-3. The thing that really got me though, was the quality of the thing and the obvious genius that it took to engineer and develope it. If you get one spend some time turning it round in round in your hand and look at both sides. Doc told me that it can be configured in a number of ways and you can see where other parts can be placed on the board. On the board are his name and the date. This might be a valuable collectible someday.

I found this out when trying to see if it was the pressure of my finger on the hat making it work, seeing if I could gradually remove my finger and leave the LEDs lit.

I do have a bunch of NE-2s in my parts box, I'll have to give that a try.

At any rate, here are the pictures of the thing. Let me know if there's any other information/pictures you'd like to see. I should point out that there's a LED on an AV plug coming from the 1-wire connection to help with tuning; also the 1-wire connection to the receiver tower is not soldered. That will be dealt with once I get some of those solderless connectors.

Just throwing things out here that are quick to try.

Well, yes you are short on capacity (parasitic). Maybe a fast way to get it going is to connect a lead from the battery -V to earth ground. The service ground would be fine (not the Neutral). My second worry is the LED's, seems I had a bunch of the small guys and they took a tone of energy to light (may be wrong here) but I would just start with one larger White or Red LED. The Red will fire at around 1.7->2V and the White from 3.2->3.7.

Now I would first disconnect the second tower, just connect the bottom of the one tower to the collector of the exciter, try this. Now add the earth ground and try again, if still no go place a paper or cardboard between the exciter and a piece of Al. If you still can't get it going move the ground to the Al plate.

Now what is the value of that trimmer? Maybe adding 20-30pF will solve some tuning issues.

New Video Coming

Okay every one wants to duplicate what was in the last few video's and let me say you will not be lucky enough to just stumble into it, so I am going to do a video on a way too see and get a feel on how it must be done.

I apologize in advance as all of you will not be able to perform these exercises as the dreaded equipment issue gets in the way. Also I use the 18-1e or enhanced board which is not generally available and is expensive because if all the additions to it. So again I can not help further than what the video will show as some equipment is required.

Reason I post pre-video is I found my new camera will not do good close ups so I am waiting for the old camera battery to charge.
