By paralleling 500 MUR460 (4 amp) diodes, I've retained the nominal current carrying capability of a conventional P/N junction... yet reduced the forward voltage drop to rival the characteristics of a germanium signal diode. The arrangement also offers high current carrying capacity and efficient cooling under extreme heavy loads.
