Steve McGreevy does amazing work by converting signals from the atmosphere into audible sound. I learned about this from Eric Dollard who recommended that I listen to the audio.
Eric said his telluric work is similar, except that Eric is making sounds from inside the earth audible for the purposes of earthquake detection. There are other differences with Eric's method that are proprietary to him, but to give you a feel for this, check out Steve McGreevy's work at his websites listed above.

And some video searches - you can listen to some youtube vids and you'll hear some amazing sounds that are caused by the magnetosphere, etc... but we normally aren't able to hear it.
