    Update on my core

Well after several months of web searching and an unfortunate time at work which includes loosing my job this past week, I have concluded that ferrofluid doesn't quite have the saturation level needed for my project. However, it still needs to be looked into as far as coil tests.

    I've invested in:
30lb. of magnetite powder. Going by the 325 screen size, it should be able to handle up to 31khz.
PVC for the casing and redesigned it for easier construction but keeps to the same routing principle.
1 50'X12" coil of aluminium flashing painted on both sides.
    2 K&J Magnetics - Products Magnets

    What I still need:

    Cables
to get my coil of flashing cut into narrower coils.
to figure out how to evenly layer the magnetite evenly between the coil layers.
to settle on a trigger mechanism. stereo amp fed to a coil or Diametrically Magnetized cylinder magnet on a moto tool.

Try to resonate the mass of ferrofluid with alfven waves.

I don't know whether this might help or not, but if you want nano iron particles for a core, I thought of this to share:

        Robert Murray-Smith at Youtube
at 10:00 he demonstrates nano iron particle graphetization being magnetic.

        Possibly use this paint method?

Right now I've got 30lb of 325 mesh magnetite to use. I'll be sure to look into where I can use the nano iron down the road.
I've considered drywall fibreglass jointing tape with the magnetite mixed with paint then smeared into the jointing tape.
