Circuit?

Hi Altrez,
What circuit did you use for this test?
What was the load?
Did you use boost converter(s) in the circuit?

Thanks,
Alex

Booster 2 connection

Teodor,
The output of booster 2 should be connected to the + of battery 1 according to your diagram. You show it connected between battery 2 and battery 1
Cheers,
Alex

Yes, Works with DC

There are different types of SSR’s so just ignore the term SSR for now. You asked about a way to switch mosfets using discrete components that doesn’t depend on a common ground.
This driver has...

Isolated n-Mosfet driver

Hi axxelxavier,
You can use a VOM1271T Photovoltaic MOSFET Driver for high or low side switching in a single or bi-directional setup. See the top of page 5 of this data sheet....

Carrol,
The drawing is correct. The negative of the boost module goes to battery C positive, not to ground. The Boost module and motor are running between the positives of the 3BGS.

Re: so it would seem

The one battery circuit was intended to use a low lenz generator that will not drag the motor down when a load is placed on it. Turion pointed out a few possibilities besides his own design such as...

Re: Analysis

Ok, so I take it your motor-generator draws more amps when you put a load on the output?

Generator Coil testing part 2

There were a couple of other reading from the LCR meter
that I took but I don't know what they mean.
Q = 15.2
Greek symbol Theta I think = 86.2 degrees
D = 0.065

Baseline Window motor readings...

Generator Coil testing part 1

Hi all,
Hope everyone is high and dry, safe and healthy.

While I have been waiting for a couple of MY1016's and an MY1020 to come in, I have run some experiments using stuff I already built.

A...

Robert Alexander Patent US3913004

Hi,
I think I found this patent included in part of a collection of Robert Brandt documents. Is this something that could be incorporated into Matt's motor?

Other Boost convertor test configurations

My Goal was to address the differential voltages and simplify the battery rotation scheme by only switching between 2 or 3 24v banks. Also to determine how much (if any) of the losses in the system...

A few options

There are a few ways to deal with this that have been mentioned
-Use big batteries
-Rotate batteries
-Use a boost convertor to output a steady voltage (see picture)
