Mack,
Glad you are up and around. Hope you the best and thanks for the knowledge you passed on to us for the magnet motor. I learned how to balance the opposing poles and was excited about it.
But...

Nice build!!!

Good looking build Corn man,
Hope all goes smooth on your new farm and garlic crop. I've dreamed of a self sustaining farm with solar, wind, and magnet motor power!!

So you are going for the...

any progress

Hey Mario,
I'm re-reading from post #1 and trying to understand what I missed on ramp building. Noticed the picture you posted which looks similar to J. Bedini all repulsion motor that Turion posted...

test standard

Thanks Cristian, Bromikey, and Randy.
Has a standard way to test ramps been posted yet? I've not seen one or I missed it.

This is how I test the ramp to find out if the rotor will be pulled past...

observations

Wow, really slow here.

I've been testing different size laminated and iron ramps. The one common problem with each one is the polarization of the tines nearest to the stator mags. This seems to...

Happy medium

Thanks Bromikey,
Well now I see your point. My first ramp was thin and small, the second larger and longer, but no better pull on the rotor mags. So I'll start grinding this one down and leave...

Hey Ufo,
No I did read your entire post. But the confusion is where your north and south poles are. Mack doesn't indicate the poles on the diagram from that post. I just assumed the pole is facing...

which way

Great video Ufo,
I noticed you have your magnets at 30 degree opposite of Bromikey on post #583 put rotating same direction.

Just curious if you get better rotation this way?

Still experimenting

Not to be a yes man but I agree Ufo.

I have the 1/2" N-52 mags, same size 12" rotor made from same material as yours Madmack.

The exact fabrication of ramps has slowed me but opened...

Thanks and appreciation

All thanks to you Madmack,
The sacrifices and pains you endured I believe will pay off one day. God bless you for taking a chance with us.

I see your point brother Randy, but I saw the YouTube...

Nobody can call you dufo now!!!!!

Ufopolitics,
You did it old friend!!!

I'm so glad to see that baby spin. My dream of seeing a real magnetic motor has come true.

I've been looking for materials to build a vertical machine to...

More fun

Madmack,
Hope you stay safe, come to South Carolina we will take care of you. Floods , red necks, and crazies killing people in churches, is all we have here. Other than that it's nice here.

ok and thanks

Thanks my friend Ufo,
No it's ok to realize some builds take more than you think. Either I get meticulous like Madmack said at the start, or switch to one of ten other projects on my work benches....

How perfect?

Madmack,
Judging from I Ufo's post, and from the many tests I've run, is it possible for a simple shop to build this test rig to perfect measurements?

MadMack,
I would think...

hot or cold rolled steel

To All,
I fabricated my second ramp from cold rolled and it was brittle even after using a torch (to cherry red)and shaping it. After testing it did get magnetized "south" on the tail end, and...

cold roll

Ufo,
Thanks. Ok I'll order me a bit of cold roll steel. I'm using the n52's 1/2" that madmack suggested use.

And just to be clear for any newcomers, the build MUST be exact. I was off 1/16" on...

soft steel

Madmack or All,
Can we use just flat bar cold rolled steel instead of transformer laminated metal for the ramps? The laminate is difficult to cut without a lazer cutter, which is out of reach for...

Thanks Madmack,
Sorry your associates are giving you all this trouble and I hope you can stay here on this forum until one of us can finish this project.

I plan to use laminate soft metal now...

Me too

Thanks Randy,
I'm using steel also. 1/4" thick, and cut new ramp today to get ready for the magnets when postal brings them.

I started on a better rotor with bigger bearing also. Even with the...

Hey Bromikey,
Don't you have the views drawn different than MadMacks description? Your side view should show the widest side of the laminate. And the top view should show the lines of the laminates...

Big differences

Thanks and sorry,
My bad. I've been adjusting the ramp, moved both magnets closer, and added the repelling magnet 180 . Also made a larger rotor. Big difference in the setup.

Eating lunch then...

Taking advice always

Thanks Ufo, Bromikey, and Madmack

I always take creative criticism and sound advise.

From those post it's clear I will start from the beginning. I just ordered (2) 1/2 x1/2 x 1/2 for the rotor...
