PM alternators

Hi Turion,

I guess you now accept that generator principles and physics used in machines with square or rectangular coils and magnets apply to yours using round poles. Remember this?

Maximum power transfer

Hi Sky,

Please look into the matter. By increasing RPM you should see an increase in output voltage. Which you did. But instead of following my advice, you wired the 2 channels in series. Yes,...

Nice tests

Hi Sky,

Nicely done. I am curious to see tests with coil, OC and loaded, with and without the magnetic neutralization in place. Also for your own benefit, try running the power channels in...

Test suggestion

Pretty close, dragon. But for AC out of the wall and for AC out of the coil (across the load) you need to use real power (watts) not apparent power (VA or volt Amperes). This involves PF or do as Sky...

Do something with it

Kool. Why don't you put together a white paper and get peer review?

Facts

Like 200 years of scientific study by the best human minds and then like a billion copper and iron electrical machines operating daily.

You have 2 points from memory,

Impressive.

You say

Turion,

You saying it doesn't make it fact. All these years and you haven't bothered to properly document or record a test. Doesn't Mr. Werjefelt convince you?

And this isn't about me. It's...

Earth engine

There are no such devices running now nor have there ever been running to their claims.

Confirmed

Hi Turion,

From the link you provided, Mr. Werjefelt appears to agree with my assessment, that magnetic neutralization does no work at speed.

Losers

Hi Turion,

Yep, saw that a while back. A quote from the linked article.

Which century was that? 29 years ago. Didn't pan out there did it Turion? You should pick better ideas to copy. Losers...

Looked like a good test

Magnetic neutralization didn't appear to function on your machine either. I was waiting for additional tests and data. Didn't seem forthcoming so I summed up what was given. Notice I called it...

Turns per coil

Turion, Sky,

What is the most important factor of coil design? In other words, what attribute of the generator coil most affects its performance? It is the number of turns, or turns per coil. A...

Hi Turion,

Are you going to post that data?

Your generator

I was referring to "your generator" in general, not specific to the first prototypes, you know, after you get the bugs worked out.

Heat

And that electrical energy is converted to heat in the resistance of the winding in the motor. All of it. None is imparted to the magnet.

A similar reaction occurs in human body. Those calories...

Breaking magnetic lock

Hi Turion,

I often wonder why this is such a concern. It only happens on start up. With your generator producing a kilowatt or two of free energy, why turn it off? Just give the rotor a push by...

Work or Force

Turion,

Let's change your example slightly. Instead of pushing against a wall, let's use holding a 25 pound concrete block 4 foot above the floor. You must hold it perfectly still in that one...

It's not just terminology; it's basic concepts

Nope, that is not what I said.

Turion,

Like I said ^^^. I am not surprised that you do not accept classic physics. Why start now, right? You are very wrong. How wide is a point in space? ...

Viewpoint

Hi Turion,

Let's call that position the sticky point. And think of it as a position. Or a location. A point in space rather than a point in time. (Please leave space time discussion for another...

Some more data?

It'd be nice to see more data on your test. But let's say it was a 24V DC motor powering your generator. Then 0.7A at 24V is 16.8W. Or 5.6 watts per core. About same as Sky's result. No idea if RPM...

Kool

Thanks Sky,

Only a 6 watt increase. Not a lot. The 138 watts is likely close to the no-load power of the drill press alone. That rotor is nicely finished and smooth so as not to have much...
