So two magnets back to back has different flux fields than one single magnet? I'm not trying to discuss magnetism here from lack of experience on my part. But I can see how smaller diameter mags...

I'm hoping she's ok. And sorry for your loss.
Yes you sent me the big magnets. The using thicker ones is interesting.

No doubt the book would be an interesting research source. It's been some time ago that I watched that video by JB. If I remember correctly, his friend got the notes from people that helped build the...

Sawt2,
Nice winding there. Just noticed you used single wire instead of bifilar winding. Don't know what difference it makes. I copied Matt's motor modification to exact as possible to get same...

Bigger shame
The problem is that the book given to JB was from a friend that didn't succeed at replicating the Lockridge device. That's how JB got the book, from his friend with a box full of the failed build.

How sad
What a shame.
That someone would share freely their idea and hard labor this concept just to see it fall on deaf negative ears.
What a shame.
There's only a few(that I know of) actually building...

The Box
Axxel,
I like the video even though can't see your build. But I think it's a good start to more exploring and growth.
Had to go back to my bedroom and send this, family wrapping gifts and told me...

Yes I tried
Yes some here did try to replicate the Lockridge device without success, at least on my part.
There was a thread started on that subject. I spent much resources on that device and the remains lay...

BroMikey,
You got something going there. And yes at least you are building something and that is the beginning of getting a project done.
I'm on part two myself.

Thanks for the offer but not sure as you said if the height of the bearings will match that of my coil holders.

I was in process of changing the two end pieces from wood to aluminum when stopped working on the project.
