The coil was power with 12 dc, Im going to power it with 12 ac soon, I have plans to see if I can pull power from this coil as well.

I remember you assembled two magnets with both South pole ( or north pole ) touching ...... wonder what would happen if you placed it in the center of the coil ...... just a thought

Not sure there are so many variations to try, its in the geometry, I think for now Im going to keep it simple and see if I can draw energy from the field using a led plate, its not as far fetched as it seems Tesla used a plate to collect from the ambient the difference is Im trying to pull directly from a coil and using ice to channel the fields.

I looks like a tornado or water spout, like water down a drain. The field looks like its ordered, spinning even though its just a steady dc current powering the cell.
I wonder, if the field is frozen with a steady dc field then pulsed after the ice is frozen solid will it pump energy
There is alot to test and I have been lazy, its time to really start experimenting, I wish others with more electronic experience would check this out.

Great pics, the vortex shape shows that something powerful is happening during the ice formation.

It makes me wonder if the energy input is somehow stored in the ice (battery?).

What if a small Tesla pancake coil was placed in the bottom of your glass, might it show amps out as the ice melts?

Have you tried placing magnets on the outside of your glass while freezing? It might show some interesting changes in the vortex shape.

Genius Dave! A great way to see what is happening. Are you just putting it in a freezer or are you using dry ice? I would think the coil would be too warm to freeze it in a freezer.

I was thinking freeze it with a steady dc then pulsing it with dc after the cell is frozen.
The longer ice is frozen the slower it melts.
Think cold electricity.

The pancake coil may work, Iv constructed a cell with a lead plate in the bottom will try it first.
Im hoping it will funnel energy when pulsed.

Just a freezer, the dc seems to freeze faster.
Iv used alot of different types of water, purified bottled drinking water seems to work best as far as being clear.

Dave I like a lot of your coil designs. Looks like you have a lot of experience in it, so I was wondering if you have any ideas about how I should go about winding this design:

I think it should be one continuous winding if I can do it. I'm hoping for an increased or shared magnetic field, which hopefully, will increase the current output.

Cones are a tough wind the steeper the incline the harder they are to wind.
I would wind them separate then solder them together, thats a complex build good luck.

A prof of mine thought the Adam & Eve myth referred to the shift from hunter-gatherer to agriculture through women's discovery of the knowledge of seed harvesting and planting. Perhaps the (phallic) serpent's temptation symbolized the Eureka moment--an intuitive connection Eve drew between human insemination and what could be achieved through seed harvesting and planting. Actually this is the problem and has been the problem all along,
The field that is created runs against the current being applied, when a coil is pulsed the reverse field collapses into the coil this causes the coil to change polarity, the polarity change also changes the direction of the magnetic field.
Its like tapping a flywheel but after the tap stopping the wheel.

Can this be overcome, Yes Steven Marks used two toroids he pulsed one but the bemf collapsed into the other, this allowed him to tap the flywheel and keep the magnetic field spinning in one direction. The magnetic fields of the toroids were spinning in opposite directions.

I didnt try the SS coil, after reading a bit on it I refuse to use it again.

But I did put a leedskalnin design in ice with a grounding plate but not luck pulling energy through it.

Back to the drawing board.
