The ignition coil is nothing special. I went down to the nearest auto parts store and asked for the cheapest one they had. This one is about 1.7 ohms on the primary and 9.2K on the secondary. Any ignition coil will work. I'm told that a flyback transformer will also work. In the 555 circuit that I showed in the video the small caps at the 555 are .01uf . The large one at the right of the diagram is 1000uf 100V but has nothing to do with the transistor. It is just placed there to catch the BEMF coming off the (-) of the coil and ground. It was an arbitrary choice. Something that I had on hand. A lead acid battery there would be a better choice otherwise you would have to use a cap pulser circuit to put the energy back into the front.
This circuit current draw is about what Bodkins Bedini Fan circuit is---About 100 to 150 milliamps at 12 volts. That is what I really like about it. The light intensity is not very good but with multiple bulbs we might be able to get around that. I added a second 2N3055 to the circuit to handle the current/heat situation and also added a heat sink. Trying to fit it all in a small box now.

I put the 555 timer CFL in a little box and set it up like Imhotep did with the light mounted right on top of the box. I changed the circuit from my last posted video. For this application I eliminated the earth ground and the large energy recovery cap and just went back to a charging battery setup. Its a cute little thing. Gets hot if you run it on high brightness too long but on normal dim light it just cruises along. I did not mention it in the video but I also added a second transistor to help things out.

still getting shocks through the insulation every now and then....quite strange

I can get the effect without the scope connected to the setup. Nat was right the negative/earth can be a battery,we have it in the setup already

i'm not sure what to make of these insulated plates...the other day i mentioned they sort of make a resonating sound when i touched them....but i guess it sort of sounds like a low level hissing sound......tesla's etheric gas maybe

i will see if i can capture it on video but it is pretty low level

when i touch my metal i feel little sparkes like energy moving from me to the plates, i dont now of etheric gas but yes this maybe watch we are playing with.
One thing i think we need to checkout is putting a motor across the sink cap/battery!

yeah i got a shock from the plates yesterday....quite a strong one at that....really weird stuff....Tesla does mention the shocks...having to use 2 inches of insulation

you should insulate those rods of yours and connect them to the negative of your ignition coil and connect to a different ground

is this your setup? i think it may short mine i like the idea of the bulb in the middle off the setup. this energy meets in the bulbs thats why its a pump.
will be moving my pump to a new location with no national grid input or grid near by.hope to light the night sky from a 9volt battery!!!!!

your right the energy i get is weak for the rod because they are only insulated from the earth on one side.
If boxa gets on the job i think he will replicate everything in no time and move us forward in the understanding of the collection.

dont now what to make of the shocks your getting.
how do your tune it. is it in the key of B.
i think you need a amp draw meter for the low levels to do a lightup amp down test.
also thinking of the imhotep fan over the caps. maybe what imhotep was doing with the box he buildt

I'm still working on the 555 version. I stuck a little fan on the box today ( not changed to Bedini circuit yet) and made a video of how I want the situation to end up. It is almost identical to the way Imhotep decided to arrange things. I will get back to the earth ground and multiple lights after I finish this up.

Everyones doing such a great job. its hard to keep up with all the updates. Lidmotor has probably the smallest version I have seen yet. Ive been working with some magnetic projects involving the circuit (more free lunch) Will be post when I have it completed. Been sidetracked But Imhotep will return. Super work everyone

ok i tried the insulated plates in the middle of cfls and two lights went out and when i touched the pot it gave me a shock.....

am now trying different capacitors instead...using my original config.

it best to stick to what you now works and go for there nat.

Hi folks,

Thought i should mention some safety measures with this system.

1. dont touch the insulated plates while the system is running as you will most likely get a shock

2. discharge the capacitors when you turn the system off. This makes the circuit safe to handle. Or to use non-polarised capacitors which disipates the energy the instant you turn it off. Thus making the system safe to handle also.

if these measures are adhered to i haven't been getting any shocks. One can tune with the pot and rheostat

I have been driving 2 ign coils in series with the output from my Bidini fan energizer using 24 volts in oscillation.

I get the most light from 4 cfl's tuned to the lowest freq with the resistance turned down to zero.
They are the brightest yet.

yep thats what i am doing.... resistance is zero...no tuning required so far...tuning it makes it worse from what i can see

As I turn my pot down to zero, the neon, lights, indicating excess unused energy.

Of course the frequency of oscillation goes down with the lowering resistance, all the while making more light.

I have long had the suspicion that lower frequency would make more light, as an ignition coil is running at 330 cps when the engine is turning at 5000 rpm (8 Cly). I'm getting up wards of 3000 cps in my Imhotep testing. Too fast for the poor coil.

Got another strange effect with the spiral bulb today, got it on camera will post video tonight!

BTW......I'm getting good results with a 1 uf cap, out of a scrap microwave, placed across the +/- of 2 series connected ign coils.
