" Two Qusetion's "

Hello to the forum,
Regarding o2 sensors...do you still need to install the plug (non-foulers)
into the exhaust to space out the O2 sensors when using a mass air flow enhancer to fool the computor?

Secondly, does anyone know if you can use the OB1 and OB2 mass air flow
enhancer on the CAN computor system or do you need an enhancer for just the CAN system?

Thanks for your help

Mcrider

MAF Enhancer's will not work for Mileage Gains....They only work in Performance Enhancement....I did a Write up on this, somewhere on the forum. But it has to do with "Closed Loop" and "Open Loop" ECU Operation. The MAF is used in Open Loop to get "Base Readings" for the ECU. Then Switches to "Closed Loop" which is when the O2 sensor basically adjusts A/F Ratio....This is when your vehicle is operating at it's most efficient. During "Open Loop" the ECU is Guessing based off of Atmospheric and other sensor readings at what the A/F ratio should be temporarily until the "Closed Loop" Sensors Come on line. During this time the ECU shoots Hi then Low, over and over until the ECU can enter into "Closed Loop" to get more Accurate Readings of Required A/F Ratio from the Sensors involved. By modifying the MAF signal the ECU "NEVER" Goes into "Closed Loop" therefore you are wasting fuel every time the ECU "Shoots High"....

Thats the short version.....If you want a full detailed version, search and you should be able to find it....

Great write up by the way.

On topic, I think your best bet is to contact Red Meanie for his EFIE solution. Seems to make a lot of people happy, and work exactly as describe. My order is going in shortly.
