I saw postings regarding plate configuration and I am wondering what the + - design would be on a 9 plate system?
Would +N-N+N-N+ work?
I am using the flasher for the PWM.
Also what is the answer for water from the bubbler sucking back to the electrolyzer and anti sloshing back and forth.

That would be like 4 cells with only 2 electrolyte gaps each, in parallel with each other. It would be OK for a 4 V power supply, which would give you 2 V per electrolyte gap. If they are all in the same common electrolyte bath, it will not be a true series cell and the neutrals may be somewhat innefective due to current leakage around them, though.

You need a one-way valve in the line between the cell & the bubbler to stop the backflow. Mcmaster-Carr or U. S. Plastics sell them if you can't find them locally.
