This is a very complex issue and I have been watching it for some time. With the new knowledge coming to light in the global consciousness about how we create our future by our thoughts, we are ultimately the ones who decide what will happen on 2012.

Ultimately, it is a turning point, not a time of doom/death/destruction. You have to learn to recognize the good in what seems like a negative situation. And realize that the negative is there in order to usher in the positive. Just look at nature to understand this. We must learn to understand and utilize the creative powers of the universe (implosion, creativity, sharing, etc. as opposed to combustion, greed, anger, etc.). Look at our planets history, GAIA has caused many major catastrophic events in the past, but were there not many more conscious/creative' species that evolved afterwards? Also, look at how people 'come together' when catastrophic events occur. There is also a cycle that occurs, until the conscious beings on the planet 'get it right'. In order for this, the negative must occur first, to make us understand what we DON'T WANT so that we can create what we DO WANT.

The doom/death/destruction is going to happen to those who do not understand the universal laws/forces at play here. Right now and through 2012 compassion, openness, and creativity to be held as the highest principles, these are universal principles, and are required in order for us to become active players in the universal game, and get us onto other planets, communicating openly with other civilizations... Think about it, would civilizations far more advanced than ours, who are keeping an eye on us from the skies, other dimensions, etc. allow us to visit their worlds with nuclear bombs on board/guns in hand? Hell no! They are also unable to intervene directly with our evolution because that would violate our freewill and we would then expect them to 'make it right', but that is not the way the universe works, it is up to US to make it right, in order for us to do that, again we must first understand what is wrong to see the right. Those who understand this, will be the ones to create the future. Those who cannot get out of their ego, and remain money hungry, selfless, uncaring for their actions/effects on the planet and others, are the ones expecting doom/gloom, they are already sensing the very end to their current ways of existing, and fear it.

Those who understand the powers of the mind, and the universal/spiritual forces at play here, already understand that the choice is ultimately up to every one of us where we want to end up, and the choice has already been made, we just have to become aware of that choice we have made. Those meant to carry on will be at the right place, the 'safe zones' on the planet that will not experience the major catastrophic events that may or may not occur in the near future.

Remember that we have a choice in our future, it is the freewill of our spirits that ultimately decides where we will end up after 2012, and well into the future.

But also remember to always keep an open mind, for any limitations imposed on your being will only hinder your evolution.

Yeah these days it seems everybody has an opinion on 2012.

Just keep in mind there are those making some real big bucks off their material on it, perhaps trying to motivate others by fear.

I, myself do believe in a doomsday (as i do trust in the bible for the source of answers ) , but I am tired of listening to those who have a less than perfect tradition of getting the facts straight.

It is so hard today when the "facts" can be manipulated by those putting out the information to get a clear picture. But i do take stock of those who have a good track record of getting the facts right and those who create hype to sell their books.

I like the Newman motor, but in watching his videos he is not the hope for mankind, and if we don't send money to him, it will not be the end of the world.

Here is what I want to see...I believe there is some crossroads that mankind is crossing very soon. As far as a date of the whole 2012 concept, has this been done?

This date is supposed to be Dec 21, 2012. On that day our planet, sun, pleadies, etc.. is supposed to be aligned with the supposed black hole in the center of the milky way. The date is debatable and our calendar is supposed to be 4 years off and this 2008 could be 2012. Anyway, there are star charting programs that could show the present star configuration...roll it forward until the alignment happens and see what the date is...maybe it is on that date according to our current calendar system or it may not be.

I believe that it's been done and ... the date is significantly off. I don't recall the calculated date (it was done by some astrophysicists IIRC), but it isn't 2012...

I've heard plenty of "TEOTWAWKI" doomsayers... My ex got pretty caught up in the whole Y2K hype to the point of blowing LOTS of money on "survival supplies" (which ended up mostly going with her and her new man, who was "gonna take care o' her, dontchaknow")... Basically, I've come to the conclusion that I can't stop "The End" (tm) and I can only do so much to prepare for "TEOTWAWKI". Sooooo... I quit worrying about it. It will either happen or it won't... end of story! I just live the best I can and do the best I can, that's all... and try my best not to get caught up in any panic or hype.

If my memory serves me, I believe that the 2012 date has to do with the END of the Mayan Calendar. This "long count" cycle is NOT the end of the world, or the end of civilization, or the end of evil, or any of these things. The Mayan Calendar was carved on a circular piece of stone. The 2012 date is the END OF THE STONE CIRCLE! That's all. Time goes on!

Aligning your personal will with the Divine Will is something you have the PRIVILEGE of doing, voluntarily and joyously, regardless of what time it is! If God wanted to FORCE you to do something, it would be done already. Obviously, free will is an opportunity to learn the truth about reality and the consequences of your decisions. Coercion, fear, threat of punishment, and the like are all human inventions, and do not reflect the Divine Nature, which is Pure Love, Unlimited Mercy, and Uncompromising Goodness.

I have meditated on these things for over 35 years, and I am quite sure that once Divine Love fills the heart, there is no longer any room for fear. The world is not coming to an end, but a number of unsustainable imbalances in the world economy may be.

To me its kind of like looking at my calender and finding January 2009 is the last month.

You should be very careful as to what you even pay attention to. Newmans gotta lotta gull to drag the God Given prophetic credetials into his wacky fear campaign. I am not even gonna list the amount of times I have heard him lie about whatever he was talking about at the time. Most of the things he claims he's responsible for you can find in a text books that predates him.

All I can say is if Gods warning people of the onccoming doom in our near future. He'll warn a few more, Maybe they will have some real credentials.

Remember 2000 was the END! I had freinds that barried food in the mountains, lol. After 2012 people will find another date that will be the next "end of and days".

For a little while, I was getting caught up in the 12/21/12 hype myself. There is a lot of compelling "evidence" that something major will be occuring on, or about, that date.

However, I have been reading the responses of several non-physical teachers such as Abraham, Theo, Bashar, and others. In each case, they all have said essentially the same thing: there is nothing to worry about.

I do believe that as a human race, the mass consciousness is in the midst of a major paradigm shift. Possibly that date will be the tipping point when there are more people who are spiritually enlightened than not. Maybe that will be the date when there are more who believe in their personal power than not. That could be the day when more people get "you create your own reality" than not. Who knows?

Though I find the entire subject fascinating, I have no fear nor worries. Actually, I am quite excitedly anticipating the date to see what, if anything, does happen.

God, I was just thinking about this after seeing it on TV the other day.

I always think about that movie, I think its Deep Impact where the meteor is hitting Earth and Morgan Freeman is the President. My best friend is Black and he and his wife were over and we were watching it before going out. He walks in see's the Movie playing and says "Man I HATE This Movie!" and I say "Why, so far it's OK...." Then he says "Man the one time a Black Man is President, The World is getting hit by a Meteor!"

I kind of blew it off until this came up, and I thought about it to myself. Man not only will we have a Black President but possibly a Female Vice President! That really would be bad! To Finally be going in the right direction just to have the World END!

Lets Hope the Mayan Calenders are wrong, and maybe this means Major changes, a New Beginning and a fresh start for everyone!

Back in the mid 60's the worlds aligned and they thought it was going to be the end. In fact I think there was a movie, Phase IV?, about this.

We are still here in light of all this and we all know gravity sucks anyway with the alignment stuff anywho.

IIRC, Mayan Calendar outlines the previous four times and the ways "the world" had ended. We are now in the 12th baktun (or end thereof I suppose).

When I say "the world" I am not sure which world they are refering to because it could be a localized disaster, if they were not aware of other continents, or a global catastrophy, if they were aware of other continents.
