The Konehead Pulse Motor Doug Konzen at the Festival of the Ages

Pretty cool video. He explains things the clearest I've seen.

Hi All

A good video. I tried his website as mentioned www.theverylastpageoftheinternet.com

but the address changes to:

ww25.theverylastpageoftheinternet.com/

Anyone got a working link?

Kind regards

John

That site was abandonned a long time ago.

What you have is some sort of holding page

...if you can deal with Yahoo's despicable new software.

Yahoo seems to have discovered the "Bashar Al Assad" of software and given him (or her) a free rein to reduce their reputation to pulp.

That was never Doug's web site. This is a fairly old video and that web site has been down a long time. It was run by Adamski (sp?). It was just a friend of his who had up info on Doug's motors (but I believe got into trouble with Bedini because he was selling replicas of the SSG motor there). Doug is one of the real motor guru's who's been at it a very long time. I met him about 14 years ago at an energy conference. He really knows his stuff on motors and his yahoo group has some very good people in it.

I read this thread and contacted Doug. Here is his reply to me minus a bit where he refers to material he sent me that I did not ask if I could share with others, so won't. I try to always respect the wishes and confidences of others unless they tell me I can blab.

hi David

I used to have a geocities website with plans and details how to build the konehead-motor, but they went out of business and with no warning took down my site with everything in it - this was long time ago - I havent built any konehead motors for long time - I met Bill Muller up in Canada around 2001, saw how great his flat rotor, neodimium magnet low hysterisis cored motor generators were, and started building those....also got into the AC rotovertor too, and did a lot of those.

The way the konehead motor is/was is coils at end of rotor arms, and coils in stators on outside - usually 2 rotor coils and 2 or 4 stator coils but whatever you want to do... there are ferrous cores too...the rotor and stator cores and coils are same size and shape and winds and they line up for a repulsive/bucking pulse...then there is a "regauging" magnet next to the stator coils - which gives about a X4 increase in speed and less draw too.....this makes it so on approach, the cores will not stay in their N-N polarization that happened after the pulse (cores just dont go back to "neutral" or opposite polarity instantly after a pulse - the cores keep their magnetism for some time)
and so the regauging magnet next to stator helps pull the rotor cores into a S mode of polarization, so now at approach, its not N-N clashing between cores, its S-N for a free power pull....Also in some motors. I had extra long cores, and wound lots of pickup secondaries behind the motor coil....then also backemf/recoil recovery circuit too, with FWBR across motor coil switching with DC side into caps....lots of backemf/recoil in these motors because of the bucking coils smashing into each other...disadvantage of konehead motors is the need for brushes to send in current to the rotor coils....might as well have a rotor of permanent magnets like Bedini or Adams or Muller motors and not have to have brushes....regauging magnets also work great in these design of motors too, Bedini has them in his patent inside the cores of the stator coils....they mover back and forth in there to adjust strength.
Here is my website too with lots of Muller stuff and rotovertor - check out the neodimium magnet AC motors and peak coil shorting:

ciao Konehead

I am glad to see he is still alive and kicking.
