Question Energy from the sky?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone tried to see if it is possible to extract useful amount of radiant energy from the sky by using an apparatus designed by Tesla. (A flat conducting disc connected to one terminal of the capacitor, while the other terminal is connected to the ground)

A schematic is attached.

Apparently systems like this can generate quite a bit of radiant energy and pack quite a wallop. Be careful if you build one!

Great !

Hehe, who's volunteering to haul the cable up 1 mile, and hold it in place

I wish I had a simple ground connection here, but living on the top floor of a building sort of poses a problem. I am not sure if radiators are hooked to the ground or the faucets. Never the less I'm still closer to the ground than to that 1 mile up in the air
