Unfortunately there is no fix for this, as this is a Public Forum....Im guessing you use this name for lots of stuff so you don't have the pleasure of anonymity. You could always change your name to something else that is not easily identifiable by people who have known you.

    Just a Thought....

Start a new profile w/o photos

You could use more of a alias or not use i/d photo to insure anon

I can tell you what to do

On the web page there is a menu bar, click on profiles, then select myprofile from the menu, When the new page comes up ,
go down to the username box.
In the right hand corner there should be two grey boxes, one with a wrench and one with an "X". Click on the one with the wrench.
This will take you to another screen, there will be a space called "block title" move the cursor highlight the box and type a new username, then click on save changes.

          Hope this helps

          Tim

            privacy settings

            Hi Heat Georgia,

The privacy settings in your profile only control privacy of the pages and content in your own profile. The private message system for sure is private only to the person(s) you directly send messages to.

There is a personal discussion forum included in each member's profile and the privacy settings can be set in that to make it as secure as you want.
            Sincerely,
            Aaron Murakami
