    Hello,

    sorry to post an off-topic but after doing research I can't find what I am looking for.
    I want to develop a prototype for one of my ideas (not related to free energy).

    I need a silent linear motor so I have thought that maybe the best idea would be to use a coil and by inverting the polarity I can move the core back and forth.

    I just know the basis of electronics so I can't do it myself.
    Does anyone know if there is a commercial polarity inverter or something similar to what I need (or I think I need)?

    Can this be done in any other way available on market?

      I need a frequency around 1hz (between 0.5-3hz).

      Can I change the frequency of AC?

        Google for H-Bridge. It can be done with relays or MOSFETs.

          It seems I have to use a micro controller.

          Does anyone know a micro controller kit to create and run the program in the micro controller?

            You don't need MCU. The only thing you have to watch out for is the simultaneous switch On of the elements in the same vertical arrangement (you would get a true short circuit which could cause some damage to the circuitry. So you have to introduce delay circuit.

            For the fast solution I would use a Flip-Flop to provide me with two phase opposed signals and then use H-Bridge Driver IC. Or even better yet you can omit Flip-flop part if a H-Bridge driver IC has advanced enough logic. In the past I used one of the HIP408x series (don't remember which one) and I think TD340 to drive high power MOSFETs and to control rotation of the motor with currents over 40A. However most of the semiconductor manufacturers have at least one H-Bridge driver in their offer so, google for H-Bridge Driver and good luck.
