This little experiment we did, almost 2 years ago, is talked about a lot. It increases the amount of melanin in the skin cells. This has the effect of a tan. It was effective in 3 out of 4 persons we tested on. 1 male and 3 females. All caucasians. We do not know why it did not work on one of the females. The reason why we have not come out with a "Tanning" Module yet is simple: It turned all skin darker, just like a tan, INCLUDING age spots. When we do, eventually, release a "Tanning" Module, we want it to produce a tan, but without darkening age (or sometimes known as liver) spots. Two of the female test subjects had already been using the Defying Gravity Module (which fades/shrinks age spots) and they liked their tan, but did NOT like that their age spots got darker again. We did do a bit more work on this, however, set it aside in favor of developing other modules that seemed more important. We will get back to this module and finish it. It it estimated that it will take another couple hundred hours of development, so it will be awhile yet. Moria, since we do not know what the nature of your sisters sun allergy is, we cannot say if the principle of increasing melanin in the skin cells will help. Additionally, if she does not have the ability to produce melanin, then this module will NOT change that. |

We don't know if she doesn't produce any melanin at all, but her sun 'allergy' started after she had her son, 23 years ago. Before that she didn't have any problems at all.
What happens is that she gets blisters on most of her body, and if it's very hot outside, she gets it just from the heat it seems, even if she stay away from the sun. She eats betacarotin (sp), and I just suggested that she starts with Spirulina as well, since that has lots of it in it. If and when you are ready to release that module, please let us know!! ![]() Moria x ![]() |

Hi Aaron,
No, she hasn't been given a name for the condition, but I found this on the net: Apparently the body is producing too much histamin (not sure if that is what it's called in English as well?) and that it creates the blisters and itchiness. Some articles calls it hives, and some other 'solar urticaria'. Thank you for your replies! ![]() Moria x Last edited by Moria : 03-30-2007 at 09:52 PM. |
