The answer to most questions asked about PATHS is: More Spirulina!

Really! If you are feeling tired, unhappy or you just aren't feeling anything, you probably aren't taking enough spirulina.

Spirulina to your brain while using PATHS is like high-octane gas at the NASCAR races. Meaning, the neurotransmitters in your brain need extra boost to process all of the new instructions you receive through watching your Theater Presentation. Without this extra boost, your brain will be on overload and you will feel the effects.

While Optimum Spirulina intake differs from person to person, generally between 2000 - 6000 mg's is sufficient.

If you find yourself feeling run down at all, increase your supplementation. Some people take as much as 9000 mg a day! And remember that since Spirulina is just a food, you do not have to worry about taking too much.

You can find spirulina at most health and vitamin stores.

Arrow The importance of Spirulina!

Hi eveyrone,

Spirulina is the key to allowing the brain to have enough very absorbable aminos in order to create the connections corresponding to the instructions that the PATHS technology delivers. If not enough gasoline, the engine won't run right and will just bog down.

It is absolutely CRUCIAL to make sure than anyone starting the modules are on a minimum of 4 GRAMS of spirulina daily for at least the first week. After that, they can get a feel if they need more or less. But it is better they have a little more than they need to PREVENT getting bogged down and thinking the technology doesn't work. The fact they get bogged down with not enough shows that the technology not only works, but has a powerful effect on the brain/mind.

Some people only need about 2-3 grams daily and some need up to 12 grams daily. Everyone is different.

Tablets and capsules are usually 500mg each so 8 per day would be 4 grams daily. Powder, they'll just have to follow the suppliers instructions on how much is 4 grams.

I recommend taking some 30 minutes before breakfast and also some 30 minutes before lunch and they can also take some 30 minutes before dinner. The 30 minutes before hand is so the body can fully absorb the aminos without competing for absorption with food in their stomach. It is a good idea to take it with at least 8 ounces of water each time.

As a general rule, it is good that they take several 8 oz glasses of water daily because the brain needs a lot of water anyway.

For most people, it is a very healthy thing to fast 3 hours after dinner before going to bed without snacking. Then the last thing before brushing the teeth before going to bed and turning out the lights is to take some spirulina. When the stomach is empty right before bed and you're not eating any food, take some with 8 oz of water and it is VERY VERY absorbable. There is a benefit here. The body repairs itself most in deep DELTA sleep and the brain gets in that state about 4-6 times throughout the night in every sleep stage that repeats. In that state, the body can use the spirulina to help build some muscle mass...it isn't a large volume of protein but because of the absorbability, it is useful. Also, when sleeping the brain unravels a lot of the daily activities, etc... and makes use of the PATHS instructions and having some spirulina before bed on an empty stomach by fasting 3 hours after dinner can do wonders.

This is very recommended especially for anyone on the Take It Off module for weight loss. If anyone wants to lose weight, fasting 3 hours after dinner and taking a dose of spirulina with 8 oz of water as the last thing before turning out the lights is a booster.

Anyway, never underestimate the power of spirulina in conjunction with PATHS. Even if someone is health conscious and they think they are already on a good diet, it is your job to ensure them that they still need it.

spirulina

Could someone please help me understand why I would want to add more amino acid to my system, when I keep getting all kinds of emails from various health organizations telling me that most of us have too much acid and we should be taking alkaline drops to balance our PH???

I get so much conflicting info, that I'm no longer sure what is helpful, and what is not!

thanks
Debbie

Debbie,

I'm no nutrition expert but I will try here.

Amino acids = protein.

We don't recommend steak because the simpler the food, the easier is is for you to break down.

PATHS gets your mind working harder than it's used to. You want to let it make all the new neuro connections. We don't recommend extra amino acids to everyone, just those on PATHS bc it's like our minds need more fuel.

Many people start PATHS thinking they aren't going to need the extra aminos. Usually they end up taking them. A telltale sign that you need them is if you are awake but you feel like you just can't wake up in your mind. It's run out of the fuel it needs for all the new info it is "learning" from PATHS.

(I was actually the opposite, I started taking spirulina before I started PATHS just to see if it caused changes by itself. I didn't notice anything there.)

Afa blue green algae is possibly a better amino acid source than spirulina, but spirulina is a little less expensive.

Me and a few others here have come to like a liquid afa blue green algae because we tired of taking pills. I like the E3 Live agave sweetened stuff :

Hi DebbieQ!

Jessica is absolutely right. Amino Acids are necessary to our healthy functioning, but even more is needed when using PATHS because of the heightened neural pathway activity that takes place while assimilating the instructions in the Modules.

For more information on this, check out the Nutrition section on your PATHS website.

amino acids and acid

Hi Debbie,

The high acid intake that is mentioned is about having a very acid PH diet, etc... This would be from too much sodas, coffee, red meats, etc... that are very acidic.

Amino Acids are different from what they're talking about. The amino acids are basically building blocks for proteins.

helping spirulina to taste better...

I've been on the powdered form of spiulina for over a year and have mixed it with apple juice and fruit before, but I have found in the last 3-4 months that mixing 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon in the apple juice spirulina mix makes it very tasty. Also there are great benefits to large doses of cinnamon. (though not for pregnant women). Relieves diarrhea and nausea...good for blood circulation...digestion, especially fats, diabetes, weight loss, etc. (source of info. "Prescriptions For Nutritional Healing). I've stated before that I pay $12 per pound (a months supply) for my spirulina from Beyond a Century (they are on the web and you can order a catalog. I don't work for them, just buy from them.)

Thanks to everyone! I wasn't really getting the difference in the acids. I'll have to give some more thought as to whether I'd be willing to stick with taking the Spirulina (in any form). I've yet to master commitment in the supplement department. So, if the success of PATHS is dependant on it, it might be a waste of my money to pretend I'll be different. My husband now puts a vitamin in my cereal bowl each morning.......but anything required several times a day just isn't going to happen!

Thanks again to all of you for your great replies!
Debbie

Debbie, I am like you in that if I have to take something several times a day, I just won't remember. However, you can take your spirulina all at once. I take 12 tablets of 500mg daily. I take them all at the same time. I actually pop four in my mouth with a swallow of water. Repeat twice and I am done for the day

Thanks Pam....and I've done that with various supplements like green foods etc., but quit taking them within 6 weeks, as I soon start "gagging" over them....and then the smell etc., starts to bother me.....and then I end up quitting. I've had excellent health benefits from them, but just can't seem to force myself to swallow them after awhile!

Jessica

With the liquid E3 live once a day is enough. I swig or two in the morning (can amp people up at night) is all I need.

I don't think it would mix too well with your cereal, Debbie (lol) but at least it goes down easy. The taste is slightly wheatgrassy but not too bad.

HI!

I got the E3 Live, but the version in capsule form, E3AFA. the instructions say to take with meals. I take it in the morning.

Is this okay?

I cannot take it several times a day on an empty stomach, as I take other meds on an empty stomach and it would be too hard to space it out. I would never get to eat!! LOL

Thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

Hi Va,

I only take my AFA once a day, in the morning as well, and in capsule form. That should be fine. If you start feeling 'off' (detox symptoms: tired, cranky, short-tempered, irritable, spacey, etc.), take just a little more until you feel good all day. Since you take other meds, you may need to sense what is right for you and focus just on the addition of AFA. You can start by muscle testing yourself (or having someone else test for you) to see how much your body tells you to take, use that as a baseline and go from there.

Cheers!

Thats exactly what I do, but I have been taking them in the morning, I think I will change this to 6 last thing at night and six first thing in the morning.

Adrazz,

I have read many times that taking Spirulina too close to bed time can give you an energy boost that can make it hard to fall asleep. I believe PATHS recommends that it be taken at least a few hours before bed to avoid this.

Yes Jillian, I had heard the same thing about taking Spirulina too close to bed time.

I have a bottle on my desk next to my monitor both at home and also at work. I usually take it in the morning at home, but if I forget, I know I can take it at work as well.

Barley Grass

Before I started with PATHS I used Barley Grass (and still do). I have compared the full breakdowns of all the ingredients in both Spirulina and Barley Grass and found that there is nothing in Spirulina that is not also in Barley Grass, and in roughly the same amounts (some elements are a little higher in Barley Grass)

My preference for Barley Grass is I actually like the taste of it.

Does anyone know of any reason why I should use Spirulina instead of Barley Grass in the context of PATHS?

Thanks

Vic

Barley Grass

Hi Vic,

If there is comparable protein content, then it will probably be fine...and of course if it is as absorbable.

I like kyo-green barley grass myself but never used it for this purpose.

Colloidal Gold

Hi all
I'm new, and I'm newly acquired knowledge on this site. I'm from Argentina, so I ask you to forgive me for my bad English.
I am a vegetarian for the last 5 years, and I take Spirulina always, for me is a super food, also the Chlorella.
What I wanted to recommend is also COLLOIDAL GOLD. I leave a link where they can read about the increase in IQ.
I want to clarify that I DO NOT SELL this type of product.
Blessings to all!

Also, plant protein/amino aicds have more benefits than animal ones, they help oxygen uptake along and have a few other advantages and are far less acidic.
