Thank you, from Bagpuss

Not quite sure where to post this but here looks as good as anywhere!
I would just like to say a very big and humble "Thank you" to the public and private messages wishing me a speedy recovery. The situation has been very distressing and has knocked me "Deep into left field" as I guess you may say over there, so apologies to moderators for the odd rant
Anyway, moving and looking forwards.......... today I met the surgeon whose well scrubbed mits had my in his hands, far too literally for my liking, at the end of September. Diagnosis/Prognosis. 1. If I hadn't got to hospital within an hour of 1st feeling unwell and before the main attack, I would be dead. No iffs, no buts. 2. I have already made a remarkable recovery and provided I behave from now on there's no reason I should have any further problem.
Soooooo to you all again & huge thanks for the healing vibes.
In Gratitude
Love & Light
Ian

Yay!!!

YAY!!!

Our Ian is back!!!

Oh, Honey...We MISSED you! And you need to remember to give us some notice the next time you take some time away, so we won't be spending time worrying if something dreadful happened to you!

But wait... I highly doubt that the moderators here need any apologies for what you may have considered to be one of your "odd rants"... They are more likely to sneak in with a little post of their own to politely shake their fingers at anyone whose post might be deemed inappropriate and such drastic action is very rare, so please do continue to rant away in your inimitable style which we find delightfully interesting, intelligent, humorous and refreshing!

HOLY MOLY!!! Apparently it was not time for you to leave this planet (whew!) and THAT is one Big Blessing for the rest of us! And... that you have made a remarkable recovery is no surprise since it is exquisitely obvious that you are a most remarkable man!!!

With Much Love and Gratitude,

Pamela

Given the colour of your type, whatever I said would be lost in my blushes, but thank you anyway. Would send megahug, but emoticons have gone off for Christmas early by the look of it here!

Hi Ian!

I don't use the colors and emoticons as much as some people( esp. Pamela--hee,hee,hee) but I am just as glad you are recovering o.k. and look forward to your incisive postings.

Cool Hee, Hee, to YOU, Al!

Hi There, Dear Al!

Don't think for one minute that I missed you dropping by here to comment on my use of colors and emoticons! Al...Honey...I'll have you know that when this forum first opened we weren't allowed to use more than 5 emoticons per post and Boy, Oh, Boy, did I ever throw a fit about that! And am I SO glad I DID, because as soon as I shook my finger at Admin for LIMITING us to only 5, they immediately changed the rules to accomodate me and NOW we get to insert as many as TEN per post!!! Come to think of it though, maybe they should let us use MORE than 10...

Hey Admin? Any way we can have UNLIMITED use of emoticons?

Good to "see" you, Al!

With Much Love and Gratitude,

Pamela

See...I used up my limit already in just this short post...

At the risk of causing further The list of emoticons is missing several essentials for me to convey my feelings when viewing here:
1. Rolling around on floor having a "Terrible 2s" tantrum.
2. Digging large hole for self
3. Crawling back under rock
4. Shaking head at screen
5. Deep sigh (But Pamela would probably wear that one out)
6. Large wink to insert at end of last line......
7. Tongue in cheek
8. Urine extraction facility
9. Tired and I wanna go to bed
and particulary for today............
10. A very big Brolly please!!!

TTFN
Ian

Emoticons

Hi Ian!

Don't feel alone, I too think the available list is quite limited, but then what list would be big enough to encompass all human emotions succinctly.

However, what would represent a "Brolly" and please explain what it is for those of us on this side of the pond.

Thanks,

Al

Emoticons

Aah, Dear Pamela;

I have been waiting breathlessly for your reply as I knew there would be one.

I'm sure the limit of only 5 emoticons was terrible for you, like having one hand tied behind your back. I'm glad Admin. relented before you exploded from the pent up emotion.

However, if you need more you shall probably have to appeal to a higher power , use the old multiplier factor( X 10) or live with only 10!

I know that will be difficult but you can handle it, babe!

Oh geez, I'm all out, guess I'll have to go.

Al

Al,
Oh surely not! I try sooo hard to speak "American" on here. See above for reference to "Left field" rather than using our own "Batting on a sticky wicket" and I get picked up on "BROLLY". Is this a wind up?? (Pronounced "whined" in case of doubt, not "winned", I am not refereing to anything flatulent......) Brolly is shorthand for umbrella. Yesterday was very winnedee and reighnee ;o)
Luv & Lite (Hic)
Ian
Seperated by a common language...........
PS Also regarding weather we have an expression over here but I am not sure if its use may cause real offence.
I doubt it really so will go out on a limb. Our weather on this fair little isle is highly changeable and is referred to as "A bit Muslim" in certain quarters.................'cos we never know whether it's going to be Sunni or Shi'ite.
;o)

Your intuition is brilliant! But you should be practicing Aaron's breathing exercises when you get all breathless...We don't want you ending up in the same situation that Ian got himself into, now do we?

IT WAS!!!

So am I! And so is everyone ELSE!!!

I never thought of the multiplier factor...Thanks for the idea, Honey! But I DO always enjoy appealing to a higher power! In fact, I do it on a daily basis!!!

Of Course I can handle it, Al! As you well know, I have a HUGE abundance of Powerful Feminine Energy!!!

With Much Love and Gratitude,

Pamela

Dear Admin,
Ref New Emoticons, as above...........
Please accept humble apologies. I have just seen Pamela's latest post. (Insert "shakes head at screen")
By virtue of my list I am clearly (insert "digging hole") for myself.
Please stop (insert "having terrible 2's tantrum")!!!
I was just having a little fun, not taking (insert "urine extraction")(insert"tongue in cheek")
I do regret having so carelessly set "Tigger" off on one. I have clearly been a (insert "large winker") and will now (insert"crawl under stone")
You may ignore all my other emoticon requests but please give the lady her "Deep sigh" or she will be bouncing around until she breaks something!
Ian
