Hello from Freefuel in Ottawa, Canada
I worked in the manufacturing engineering group in electronics manufacturing for a number of years. I am not an engineer but who likes to work on various electro-mechanical projects. I am now retired. Recently I have been concerned about the price of gas and what can be done about it. As I was surfing the internet I became aware of people using HHO to help improve their gas milage. What a good idea! I haven't built anything yet but I'm getting ready to start. Your forum came up as I was browsing and I decided that this is the place I want to be. I was wondering if anyone is using an EFIE using the LM3914 led bar driver. I seem to like the idea of having a rotary switch to control the output to the CPU. I'm waiting for my parts to arrive for the PWM and I'll put it together. As far as the electrolyzer is concerned I'm still not sure what would be best for my needs. I have a 95 Neon. I'm waiting for a ScanGuage I ordered to come in. Thanks for having me folks and looking forward to getting some replies. Freefuel |

Hi Aaron,
Is it an efie that you purchased? If it's the same as the one I will build it seems to me that 500 mv. is rather high for the leanest setting. One problem I have right now is getting my ScanGuage. Has anyone ever had any problem with PayPal. They omitted putting the Unit number in my address and Canada Post sent the package back to the sender or supposedly so. That was nearly 15 days ago and I'm really concerned I may have lost my item which cost me $179.00. The vendor has my money and I've got nothing. Freefuel |

efie
The EFIE I got was a kit from Redmeanie here at the forum. He isn't selling kits anymore, but will sell ready built EFIE's.
Is 0.5v the leanest or is that the voltage that it actually kicks on and drops voltage...keeping it from going above 0.5v? If this is not it, then I can turn the input pot down so that it kicks on at 0.1v. I don't care about how lean it gets because it isn't even an issue. |
