Hello:

I am an Ex-Pat Contractor operating in the Middle East (SE - SW Asia). "Amazing" that none of these countries have gone solar and wind for internal energy consumption and reserved oil for selling on the global market. Too easy.
At any rate, I am contractually restricted from stating with any degree of specificity my physical location or what I do. Suffice it to say I operate in the Middle East and spend most nights hunting bombs and homicidal socio-paths.

I am looking to retire in the next 2 - 3 years and reside part of the time on the west coast of Florida and the remainder of the year elsewhere, Belize, Philippines, El Salvador ... I am in the process of purchasing some land for residential development in Florida ... west coast, bay side and would like to avoid utility companies all together.

So, I am open for any and all suggestions regarding energy production ... I'm considering solar panels and perhaps 2 - 3 windmills to provide electricity for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom pre-fab, eco-friendly A-Frame in Florida. Anyone have some guidance to offer? Journey well, The Contractor
