    I just finished watching the video which has some terminology that I never heard before. Those devices that he built, how can we experiment with them?
    I understood the idea of longitudinal waves to scalar waves, however, I don't know how to replicate. Can someone explain ?

        Eric sure knows his stuff...

        however.when the other guy ( chris is it?)..asks "how come this toroid transformer works.when the flux is INSIDE the core???".....i believe i have the answer.

        its in a pdf file attached here....seems like a real techincal read with the equations and stuff...dont bother with those, just look at the diagrams and the associated text to the diagrams ..and youll quickly understand "why" the flux cuts the windings of the secondary.

          I wish Peter Lindemann can make an update with more visual of the same sort of presentation. It would have to be longer in order to speak in terms for beginners understand. I would buy the videos.

                ya, that pdf makes a lot of sense in relation to flux movement in & around a toroid and how that flux manages to "cut" the secondary.

                it also though..opens up a can of worms in terms of how we should be designing toroid transformers to maximise output..since the flux doesnt flow "through" or "around" the toroid but rather "snaps" onto & into it....from outside....theres possibilities for designing the secondary windings to physically take advantage of this fact.

                  Yes, you maybe right, but we can't ignore that fact that they seem to do the job pretty well even though we may not have fully understood the principle of operation.

                    Rave, just a follow up to what you said about transformer designs possibly changing if lines of flux do propagate the way suggested by the Expanding Field Model.

                    After giving it some further thought, it may be that we can alter transformer models and improve efficiencies.

                      I understand and not understand. The attachment did serve me, but, I have not fully grasped how does a transformer work. Can u do a little more explaining?

                        yes your image is pretty much what i had in mind.crafting the windings of the secondary so they "catch" more lines of flux

                        uused,

                        in the pdf you will find a series of images showing a circle of flux coming out of the wire..starting small then getting bigger...as it does part of touches the edge of the ferrite core and "snaps" into it (cos of the diference in permiability between air &ferrite) as this happens it try to complete the circle inside the toroid and around the circumference of the toroid...therebye "dragging the portion of the flux circle that is outside all the way around to the opposite side of the toroid.more & more of the flux going "into" the core as it does so until eventually ALL of the flux circle is now "inside" the toroid core...so.having gonbe from outside to inside the toroid....the only way to do this is for the flux to "CUT" the windings of the secondary..and also at a right angle (ish)

                          Rave154 thanks for that detailed look. It is making for sense.

                          How about when Eric Dollard was talking about making a system similar to a telephone where they were picking up waves from San Francisco to Los Angles. Do you know how that is made? If yes, lets try it between me and you so how far can this system go.
