  • Self Charging Batery

With the hex controller from Bob Boyce you can have a self charging battery. My Friend has had his little girls electric car run all summer this way and has not charged the battery other from itself. The Videos are very self explanatory. Several of us have the hex controllers and have been playing with this. The Toroid can be made out of magnetite for better results and the addition of AV plug makes it charge even faster. It takes over night for the batter to recharge so it is more like a trickle charger...rather than a direct power source.

Just thought you might like to know that the first person to drive an OU car is a 2 year old...she is the first of a new generation.

    Great stuff Karl, looks awesome.

Lol at the 2yr old who has it all over scientists world wide

Look forward to seeing more specs.

    Regards

Hi Guys yes that's Johan from south Africa, unfortunately you cant get your hands on the Hex controllers ATM, you can try and use the 3G board (there are 3 boards used for Bob Boyce Resonance circuit and the hex is the latest development).

We have the 3G board here and the toroidal, ill make some inquiries on the 3G and Hex, here is the forum where Bob frequents and where they are talking about how to wire up the 3G board for the Bedini charger

The main thing who should be focused on is, at the end of part 4/4 we see the voltage climbing but not above the rest voltage we saw , if the duty cycle get reduced , the current doesnt have the time to build up in the toroid so the amp draw of the battery is maybe 1mA, with so little current draw the voltage will go up to the rest voltage and after alot of time will begin to go down again.

The main test who he need to do is showing the rest voltage FIRST, for 2-3 minute on a video and AFTER that he connect the circuit, if the voltage go higher than the rest voltage, ill agree, there "MAYBE" something interresting. But for now there nothing too exciting in what we saw.

I think the trick lies in the very short , very fast rising pulses by using mosfet drivers. That means the pwm circuit and the coils hardly draw any current. Then the "reactive power" from the collapsing fields are fed back to the batteries
Karl do you think you can post a diagram involving the toriod and the use of the av plug?

EgmQC: Than how do you explain that the battery was not charged once from another charger and she used it everyday?

            Very interesting and good videos!
Would It be possible to post a diagram of the setup?
Where can i get one of those controllers?
            Which mosfets are used?
            What does the choke do?

Ive not seen it , so for right now i think the only thing we can talk is about the video. Its not because someone say something ill trust him right away, you forgot MyLow ?.

                  Whats the choke for?
I know it's a filter, but for what freq's and why?

Yes he is charging a battery for his children already for days, so its already lab tested . Hex is not open source tho guys, sadly. Bob may help on how to use the 3G board, best to post over at Wouter's forum i posted

Is that why the 3G board schematic in the PDF says it's outdated? Bob has moved on to this "hex controller"?

                      Sincerely,

You can use the Les banki circuit. The last part of the circuit is the important part. The part with the mosfet drivers
You can adapt the oscillator part so that all three runs on the same frequency or replace it with a pic
                        Les Banki starter kit!
And the toroid construction was on Patric o Kelly's Chapter 10

                          choke function

Hob, I can tell you want the choke is for. Removing the noise from the energy recovery part of the system. Now you are going to ask, and you know this how. I am the guy that built that unit for the guy in SA. I put a 7000 uf at 200 volt cap on the energy recovery part, drive the primarys with 12 volts and 10 ma, thats 3.3 ma per phase, will charge that cap to over 90 volts. Takes apox. 1 minute to get it there.

                          Rich

David yes, the Hex controller has been the final stage , it only maintains the resonance for 20 minutes tho according to bob Boyce so still R and D

                              Hi Rich,

I just can't see how the energy would go back to the driving battery with only one fet/coil?
Are we talking about the spike from the collapsing field in the coil, or is there anything else going on here?

But you are talking about collecting the energy in a separate cap, right?
                              Is this what you mean:
                              input 12*0.01*60=7.2 J
                              output 1/2*7*10^-3*90^2 = 28.35 J
