In thinking about Paths and results, I identified myself as someone who was on the slow side and not one of those people that experienced quick and fantastic results. That being said I started to observe that even though my teenage son would do something very teenage and button pushing I was able to notice my feelings yet not be drawn into the fray. I would just let him process it, which he did (yeah). What a change, no yelling, no anger, no tears. A miracle in of itself. Was I somehow finally becoming a better parent, all on my own? Of course I wanted to think I had finally gotten this parent thing.

Yet there was the fact that a little bit ago my husband was laid off and at the same time the University library I work at was going to announce it’s layoffs (done on 1/26) and then yesterday it was announced everyone remaining would be required to take 10 days furlough. On top of that for 4 months I have had a on going sinus issue. Of course all that sounds dire, bad and stressful yet here I was feeling happy and like we could handled it. So you asked what finally caught my attention, well it was the happy moments. How could I be having happy, uplifted and downright dance in the street moments in the midst of all this financial turmoil, uncertainy and fear around me? Hum…… then it dawned on me could it possibly be that Paths modules I was on had changed something in me? I certainly don’t know what or how but I am grateful for the tremendous blessing.

Even though I will admit that I do have moments of "panic" they are far out numbered by the many, many other joy filled ones. Miracles do occur. Thank you Paths. By the way the sinus issue is also improving after I had all but given up. What's that about?
