  • mjl21194 and mjl2193 transistors

    Hi,

was just curious...would a mjl21193 transistor work in place of the mjl21194? I mean, are they really that different? Seems like last time I looked the specs were about the same. I was just wondering because I'm going to build the machine in the beginners handbook and i only have 5 mjl21194s but I have brand new mjl21193s too that I could use depending on the response I get to this question.

    thank you in advance

    Busby,

The mjl21193 is a pnp and the mjl21194 is a npn - use the mjl21194 only for the SG.

You can't make a pnp version, but just stick with the npn mjl21194 version.
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami
