  • Taking stock at the six month mark

I have been doing PATHS for six months. It has been an extraordinary journey so far, albeit - I won't lie - a difficult one at times.

I was going to write a long and detailed post about my results so far, but decided to share this simple story with you instead:

The other day, I was walking through a shopping centre, and my eye was drawn to a dark-haired woman striding briskly in my direction. The impression I got was of a happy, confident, bright-eyed person, clearly on her way to doing something important, and for a second I thought with a pang of envy, "I wanna be just like her!"

Then I realised that I had actually caught sight of myself in a mirror.

In other words, that woman was me. I was absolutely flabbergasted.

To say that I've "changed" as a person would be wrong. I feel strongly that I have not really "changed," I am simply becoming the person I was always meant to be. If this is what I'm like after six months, then what am I going to be like after a year, or two years?

I'll post again then, and let you all know.

    Nice work, PATHS!

    Thank You

Thank you for your post Rin.

I always enjoy reading about your experiences with PATHS.

I started PATHS 6 weeks ago. 6 weeks on SL2 then I added Ultimate Body which I was on for 2 weeks.

This week I swapped to Self Esteem and Deserving as I had not noticed any changes due to PATHS and was getting frustrated.

I'll stay on these two modules till at least Xmas when I will report on any changes I have noticed.

        Seven month mark!

In the last few weeks, several people have commented to me, "Rin, you look good!" And these are people who don't normally notice or comment on things like this, so I am really surprised.

Several lovely acquaintance-ships have become fully-fledged friendships. I am so happy about this! I had longed to be friends with these people for years, and yet never was able to pluck up the courage to do anything about it until now. Now we are even planning trips together, whereas before I was too frightened to even ask them out for coffee.

Work-wise, I have developed a marvellous feeling of having found my niche. I never expected that it would turn out this way, but here I am! Life is full of wonderful surprises.

Every single day, I feel that I am learning something new (and even more importantly, teaching something new to the people around me). I feel that my life has a purpose, and that I am special and loved. And yet at the same time, I feel that there is so much more to do and learn. Because of this, I feel excited every day.

No, my life is not perfect. But right now I feel that it's as good as it gets, and about to get better!

I feel good, is what I'm trying to say. Thank you, PATHS!

            Hi Rin,

Great to hear things are going so well for you.

I was interested in you saying you had found your niche. I have not found mine, and wondered, do you think there is any particular PATHS module that has helped you find yours?

                Sigh...

                Oh, Dear Rin...

I must tell you...Every time I read your posts as you update us with your experiences with PATHS I always let out a BIG sigh of joy for you as I also relate to all that you tell us... When I think back to this time last year when I realized that MY limited subconscious beliefs were blocking me from experiencing my infinite potential I was desperate for a way to re-program those naughty beliefs in a rapid fashion... Yeah...I bet you know the routine, Dear Girl...Looking to all those OTHER self-help programs available on the internet that take FOREVER and a DAY to work, if at all... But...Like you, I synchronistically found PATHS (Thanks to Aaron and his Synchronicity Diagram thread over at PI ...Aaron...You KNOW I think you ROCK, Honey...BIG TIME...MUAH! ) and my life has changed for the better in more ways than I could possibly have imagined! And it blows my mind that it just gets Better and Better! What a Beautiful answer to my prayers this technology is NOW and continues to be!!!

So, Beautiful Rin...I want to join you today in (once again) THANKING the PATHS folks for creating this FABULOUS technology and profoundly enhancing MY life, as well as the lives of all those other Darlings out there who are discovering the AMAZING wonders of the modules!

What a DELICIOUS ride it IS!!!

                With MUCH Love and Gratitude,

                Pamela

Oh, thank you so much for you lovely comments, Sharyn, Terry, Jessica, Pamela, Viviana, Keoi: they mean so very much to me, especially coming from you wonderful women!

Originally posted by tezzaa View Post

Terry, I hesitate to recommend any particular modules to anyone for such a serious matter as finding one's niche in life. (In fact, part of "finding my niche" has been discovering that I have no right to tell anybody how to do anything!). However, personally I feel that the Self-Esteem, Business Productivity, and the Synchronicity modules have helped greatly in this respect, especially the synergy between the three. It's a very personal thing though, and I would be thrilled to pieces if other PATHS users could chip in on this one. Would you, please?

When I say that I found my niche, I mean that I had a wonderful surprise in store for me jobwise. The big surprise was: I didn't need to change my job in order to do my life's work! All I needed to do was change the consciousness that I bring to my job - to focus on service and what I can do for other people, rather than what they can do for me.

Now, intellectually, I've known the value of "giving service" for years. I'm not stupid, I'm a businesswoman, I knew it was important. And I was trying so hard to do it. It sounded so simple, but it wasn't. I was never able to put it into practice - all I could think about was making money, and getting as much as I could out of my clients, with the minimum of effort on my part. I even regarded them as adversaries. I was really coming from a place of fear. It didn't feel good, but I honestly didn't think I had any choice in the matter.

All that has changed in the last few months. My relations with my clients are delight. Now all I can think about is how to make every exchange a win-win situation for both sides. It's so much more fun that way.

As Pamela says, it's as if years of incorrect thinking has been undone in a matter of months. Now, it could be sheer coincidence that these marvellous, magical changes occurred shortly after I began on PATHS, but somehow I don't think so ...!

Oh, I really wanted to mention that today, I went to a work-related gathering that only takes place once a year, with people I only get to see once a year. Hence the last time we met before today was in October of '06.

Today they were all looking askance at me, and making comments like, "well, you're certainly looking well, Rin!" and "life seems to be treating you kindly these days," etc. It was just so very obvious to me that they'd noticed positive changes in me since we last met a year ago. It was all the confirmation I needed.

I think that we should all have friends that we only meet once a year, just to see how we are doing in the long run!

Thanks for your reply Rin, it really is helpful when I read your posts, you explain your experiences with PATHS with such clarity.

I'm doing Self-Esteem, Young Again and Ho'oponopono (hope thats how you spell it!!) and really want to add the Syncronicity module but will wait to pay day.

I can really get what you mean by finding your niche where you are through changing conciousness.

On a completely different note Rin, I have changed my Avatar. I had a feeling some people might have thought I was of the female gender but I am very much a man. Still it was an honour to be grouped with those most esteemed and powerful women mentioned

I shall put a more manly avatar there soon so as to not cause any confusion (I just liked the other one because I liked the film Forrest Gump!!)

                          Terry (all man)

                            11-month mark today!

Thank you for your inspiring posts, everybody. It has been eleven months on PATHS, and I promised I would keep you all updated. I wanted to wait until the big one-year mark to post next, but today something happened that made me so excited that I couldn't wait! That something was a huge confirmation of my results, and it made me so happy!

Today for lunch I met with a group of old workmates who only get together sporadically. One in particular is a very dear friend, who is also something of a fashion plate. She's very fastidious, the kind of friend who can advise you about improving your image, and will tell you - in the nicest, sweetest, possible way - that you could stand to lose a few pounds, or that that colour really doesn't work on you, or for that matter that you look like crap and need to get more sleep. In other words, I know that she wouldn't ever bullsh*t me with false platitudes or compliments. I trust her implicitly, and her opinion means everything to me.

Today over lunch she kept staring at me with a quizzical expression, and afterwards she got me alone away from the others and began questioning me.

                            "Okay Rin. What's going on?"

                            "What? I don't under - "

"Rin, you look GREAT! It seems like every time I see you, you look better and better! The way you dress is completely different. Your skin is beautiful, your body is fit and trim, and you look so happy! I've never seen you look this good."

                            "Well, I - "

"It started about a year ago."

                            "Yes, because I - "

"'Come on, 'fess up! It's a man, isn't it?"

"NO!!!" I had to laugh. I was very pleased! It's obvious that I'm looking much happier these days, and it even looks as though I'm gettin' my womanly share of the booty, if you get my drift! (Although I would love to know why everyone assumes a man is behind my happiness. Why not assume that I'm behind it, instead? With a little help from RDT, of course!)

As for the rest of my life, I can only reiterate what I wrote in an earlier post:

"Every single day, I feel that I am learning something new (and even more importantly, teaching something new to the people around me). I feel that my life has a purpose, and that I am special and loved. And yet at the same time, I feel that there is so much more to do and learn. Because of this, I feel excited every day."

It's such a good feeling! I've waited all my life for this feeling. Thanks again, PATHS!
