Solid State Bedini SG on 3 Battery Power Supply

Hi All, here's a (relatively) quick video on my latest project. It's a Bedini solid state SG running on a 3 battery power supply - inspired by Peter Lindemann's rotored version he showed at the 2016 Energy Conference.

I went solid state mainly because I suck at mechanical stuff and I have future experiments planned with the solid state version.

Questions and comments most welcome.

Big thanks to Nityesh (n_techo) for the coil and some of the parts on this model.

John K.

Information

John K.,

As you my or may NOT know, I have been working with the 3 Battery system for over nine years now. While I know that John B showed it running a light and even showed it running an electric motor, I spent considerable time working with it running various pulse motors, and have BOOKS full of test runs showing that when you have anything you can pulse between the positives that involves a coil collapse, you get better results. Loads like lights and off the shelf motors don't get you anywhere.

With that in mind, I've been working with pulsing different things between the positives OTHER THAN a pulse motor to see the benefits for about a year and a half. This includes transformers, coils, inverters and boost modules. The high end boost module has gotten good results, but the BEST results I have seen are from a simple car coil (pulsed) in parallel with Matt's modified razor scooter motor. The increase in battery 3 is always greater than the losses in the two primaries if you have decent batteries to begin with. And this is measured with a battery analyzer, not JUST a volt meter. Not much gain. Not over .1 volts, but the motor is running for free.

Until proven otherwise by someone else, the data I have collected supports the position that the MECHANICAL energy you get out of pulsing a simple pulse motor between the positives gives you the greatest gain. I would LOVE to find something else that matches it, so I am very interested in where you go with this, but having been down that road, I don't hold out a tremendous amount of hope for a low budget build. With several hundred dollars worth of batteries, I know you can run about 100 watts worth of load basically for free with the kind of setup you are working toward. I also know that for the same amount of money you can run a motor turning a lenz free generator that will produce 2,000 watts, so for me the choice has been clear. At least up to this point. Hopefully you will show us a different path.

I sincerely hope you find a way to utilize this to the best advantage running it solid state, but the "two for one" you get pulsing motor coils with 90% OR BETTER recovery will make that a pretty difficult task.

Anything I can do to help, please let me know. I will be watching this thread for sure.

Dave

Thanks Dave

Thanks Dave for taking the time to look at my project and for your response.

I'm also hoping this setup will show something different. Right now I'm still learning what it can and can't do and because I'm a little short on good batteries I'm experimenting with rejuvenating some junk ones.

But I do have plans for this setup that I haven't seen anyone else do yet once I get some decent batteries to test with.

I'll be sure to keep this thread updated with my progress.

John
