I like the NIV - New International Version. It also was written by a committee that worked hard to keep it as close to old Greek and Hebrew texts as possible but the words used are more like today's speech so I find it easy to understand.

The only thing that bugs me is the use of the words Jews sometimes. Like for example it will say the Jews made a plot against Paul. Uhh Paul is Jewish, ya' know. Tons of Jews were followers of Jesus but the way this book portrays it it is like all Jews were against Jesus. That bugs me bc there is enough antisemitism already and that seems to perpetuate it.

You didn't tell me what exact scriptue you are talking about, but it's probably Matt. 26:3 or Mk.14:1&2 or Lk.22:1&2. In the Amplified Bible Matt. 26:3&4 reads "then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the [open] court of the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, And consulted together in order to arrest Jesus by strategem secretly and put him to death." Much clearer and in more modern english. It's published by Zondervan Bible Publishers, Grand Rapids, Mich.

I don't believe in Hell or Heaven. I don't even believe the mythical lucifer/satan who governs it, although there are negative beings as there are positive beings. What I believe is, it's been propagated and it's a wild misleading idea of some controlling greedy individuals. Some preachers don't even think what they're saying logically.

GREEDY: for God said so, give me your money and you will go to heaven where there are angels to serenade you.
Ignorant: I do obey all of you said, here's all my wealth, and if you want something more please do ask again...
GREEDY: For those who don't obey the word of God they will surely go to hell.
Poor Ignorant: Oh my god, we must do something, we must work hard to earn money for God, for us to have a nice seat in heaven. Son, we should skip our meals, need to save for god you know, yes father...

Hehehe, of course it's just my eye opening sarcasm.

What you do is to become a HUMAN first. And you will feel the needs and cries of all living beings. You will have the sympathy for every creations, by that you will act accordingly and make this world and multi-universe, a better place.

I only feel GOD and with tears for Him when I think about Him (not cry for desperate help), he is good and severe, in one package.

I'll title it bible, If no one minds. Not picking on Al, but seems to be there are more than he and I interested in debating this topic, which is away from the debate about hell.

I'm sorry you have run across influences in your life who affected you so deeply and caused such misunderstanding of Christianity.
Jesus taught exactly the opposite of what you have apparently seen or heard about. In Acts 2:20 Peter the Apostle told Simon the sorcer "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." Simon had tried to buy the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit when he saw it come upon a group of apostles in Samaria.
In Ephesians 2: 8 & 9 Paul wrote "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." You cannot buy or work your way into Heaven. Good deeds(works) won't do it. You are spiritually dead until you return to God by accepting the free gift of Jesus's shed blood which washes away the sin you and all mankind were born with. That's what God meant when He told Adam & Eve if they disobeyed Him & ate of the fruit they would surely die. They didn't die physically, they died spiritually and were cast out of the presense of God, and so the only way to return to God and renew that spirit is belief in Jesus. When you do the Holy Spirit comes into you & renews that spirit.

I think you mean compassionate human. That's what Christianity teaches & plenty of it. James 1:27 says "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this; to visit the fatherless and the widow's in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." Most charities ( like The Salvation Army and others) were started by Christians and run by them and many un-paid volunteers. Most hospitals and universities were started by Christian's of various denominations. Christian's send millions of $ around the world every year to help needy people. They are as a group the most compassionate people on earth.

Lastly I hope you will think on these things, but be careful. 1 Cor. 3:19 & 20 says "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written ; He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again; The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain." An unregenerated mind can lead you astray and God will only talk to you through The Holy Spirit when you are willing to listen.

erm wasnt peter a bounty hunter who used to catch chistians , and he had vision and worte the rest of the books ?

So lets say that hitler after doing all the killing he saw a vision and wrote more scriptures would we also accept that too ?
