Where did you find that? Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Das ist fantastisch!

Looks like he is getting a clean arc using tuned inductive collapse and abrupt switching. No doubt the speed of his switching is directly related to his charactoristics of the inductor(s). The fact that he is shaping the field reminds me of a patent I recently read out of eastern europe recently. I will now see if I can find it. Thanks for posting that.

          Dingel coils

          Hi Chip,

Am I missing something or in the 2nd pic, is it simply the HV circuit side is closed and that influences the pulsing of the smaller coil powered by a battery....basically the hv setup is what pulses the battery 12 to the cell?

Also, the 1st pic, is that separate or a goofy interpretation of something else? Where are any leads from that or is it a lower voltage way to control pulsing of a 12v coil system to the cell?

            Good morning Aaron,
Looks like 4 coils wound oppisite pairs configured like a transformer, one thing I'm not certain is the device between the two larger coils. Looks like it says some sort of spark tube. The word blitz is lightning in german and rorhe is like a pipe or tube.
The first pic looks like a sheilded metal arc welding apparatus(SMAW) or a stick welder with a positive ground and negative electrode. Looks to me like he is generating a spark gap which gives him a frequency dependant on the distance of the the gap. I think he says he noticed the batteries getting very gaseous in the first pic. I guess thats how he came to the conclusion to use that frequency or voltage or both out to the electrolyzer in the second pic. I know I'm probably missing something else.
Also it says he uses sheets of soft iron for his core. I wonder if he rolled them up or laminated them flat like a conventional transformer?

The reactor of Daniel Dingle exists of an Energetisierungsoszillator and

              an electrolysis cell.
He welds with 4 auto lead batteries and a choke with soft sheet irons.
              Thus the result is cleaner.
He noted the accumulators with a certain measuring in the choke strongly

              gasten, that.
Most specially if the choke lay directly beside the accumulators.
              He copied the system.

The diameter of the copper varnish wire for 150-250 amperes amounted to

              rope.
He uses a high DC voltage, changes thus 12 DC on a higher DC voltage.
The kind of the reel is a supposition.

Picture links: The reels can be pulsed with a strong stroboscope device.
Thus both reels with a lot of stream can be pulsed, and swing freely

Daniel Dingle had with completely simple Materialen which it for the order had to work. The reactor of Daniel Dingle consists of a Energetisierungsoszillator and an electrolysis cell. It welds with 4 autolead-acid batteries and an induction coil with soft iron sheet metals. Like that the result is cleaner. He noticed, which the Akkus gassed with a certain pick-up at the induction coil strongly. Besonderst, if the induction coil lay directly beside the Akkus. It copied the system. It maintained the coil and adjusted the windings more exactly on resonance. Also a welding transformer also apart swivelling yoke consists of two coils over the air gap up-swings.Reactor with DC high voltage

So the two coils with much river, and swing after the deletion of the estimate can pulse freely. The coils must be angestimmt on maximum quality of the periodic resonance. In the center a permanent magnet is possibly bridged. The coil can be pulsed also with an autoignition coil or with a power Mosfet transistor.

                  Wolfgang Czapp's "Vermutung"

                  Hi Aaron,
                  Hi Imhotep, old workoholic ,
                  Hi all!

Seems to me like the German Wolfgang Czapp is the author of text.

Wolfgang Czapp had a quite good and interesting website at the end of the 90th before he went ....a little bit birdy(?) ...

Wolfgang was one of the first persons who visited Daniel Dingle at home (at Phillipines/ at work) after the rumour of waterengine had reached Germany.

But Wolfgang lived and already lives in a kind of "his own reality".
And Daniel Dingle (DD) didn’t tell him anything else than to all the other visitors.
So most of Wolfgang’s statements are presumption (guessing), Vermutung.

                  [QUOTE=Aaron;16953]

Vermutung (to what Wolfgang have seen, pic1)

Daniel Dingle musste mit ganz simplen Materialen die er zur Verfügung hatte arbeiten.
BEFORE his invention, DD was forced due to the circumstances to keep his (welding-) work simple.
Der Reaktor von Daniel Dingle besteht aus einem Energetisierungsoszillator und einer Elektrolysezelle.
AFTER DD invented watercar, Wolfgang have seen, and does now suppose there is a "Energetisierungsoszillator" - a resonant circuit - and a electrolysis cell.
Er schweißt mit 4 Autobleiakkumulatoren und einer Drosselspule mit Weicheisenblechen.
BEFORE the invention, DD's welding equipment consisted of 4 (origin) car batteries and a choke coil around iron sheet core.
                  So ist das Resultat sauberer.
The choke coil improved the quality of the welding seam.
Er bemerkte, das(s) die Akkus bei einem bestimmten Abgriff an der Drosselspule stark (aus-)gasten (starke, heftige Gasentwicklung).
DD observed (noted) for a certain coil ratio (tap to the coil, coil ratio, coil winding) of the choke coil, the batteries started to bubbling (boiling) heavily(strongly). (strong, heavy gaseous production).
Besonders (dann), wenn die Drosselspule direkt neben den Akkus lag.
There was a improved heavy bubbling (boiling) when the choke coil was located at a certain point (place) near (adjacent) the batteries.
Er bildete das System nach. Die Spule hat er beibehalten und die Wicklungen genauer auf Resonanz abgeglichen.
DD made a copy (of his welding system) [not for welding but for gaseous production].
Choke coil resonant(!) to batteries(!) ?!?!?....?????
Auch ein Schweißtransformator mit auseinander drehbarem Joch besteht aus zwei Spulen die sich über den Luftspalt aufschwingen.
Wolfgang remarks (notes) that [most old] welding-transformers had a turnable yoke [to adjust air gap and therefore secondary amperage]. Those transformer consist of two divorced/separated coils (prim., sec.) on an iron core ring, more or less air gap thru yoke. As always and everywhere, Wolfgang sees the possibility for resonating both coils by themselves thru the air gap. .....????

That resonation, oscillation, resonant circuit with high quality, “Energetisierungsoszillator”…. has been Wolfgang Czapp’s permanent companion, all thru the website, all thru his real life. Even never knowing, and pure guessing, what the adequate frequency for each case might be.

                  Pic2: Wolfgang’s “Vermutung” to DD's next/following stage of invention.

“Blitzröhre”: imho: Xenon flash lamp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
                  Is it used in photography?

                    Thanks Imhotep and MagnetO!

If we know that the origin of Daniel Dingel's water technology came from some basic homemade welding technology, that may give clues of what he has today. I do not know about welding equipment very much but I'm sure there are some members of this forum that does.

That is the first time I heard this story of the welding history.

                          Interesting Observation about Dingle video

                          Hi All,

Here is one interesting observation from a Dingle water car video. Please note while he is demonstrating to the reporter at approximately the 4:55 mark he puts a test light in the cell and it lights up. Also note that he asks the reporter to touch the water and no electrical shock occurs. This would seem to indicate that he is using high voltage and very low current to perform electrolysis.

YouTube - Daniel Dingle Water Car (extended version) - part 1 (Check from 4:55)

This also would seem to be the case with Stanley Meyers method of electrolysis.

"Meyer's cell seems to have many of the attributes of an electrolytic cell except that it functions at high voltage, low current rather than the other way around."

"A witness team of independent UK scientifc observers testified that US inventor Stanley Meyer successfully decomposed ordinary tap water into constituent elements through a combination of high, pulsed voltage using an average current measured only in milliamps. Reported gas evolution was enough to sustain a hydrogen /oxygen flame which instantly melted steel."

"One demonstration cell was fitted with two parallel plate "excitors". Using tap water to fill the cell, the plates generated gas at very low current levels --- no greater than a tenth of an amp on the ammeter, and claimed to be milliamps by Meyer --- and this gas production increased steadily as the plates were moved closer together and decreased as they were separated. The DC voltage appeared to be pulsed at tens of thousands of volts."

                          Stanley Meyer: Water Fuel Cell

I truly believe both of these guys used a very similar approach to get a large amount of hho gas from their cells without consuming a lot of amperage.

Hi Voltage low current you get zapped real Bad.
High Voltage low current will not light a regular 120Vac or 220 Vac Light Bulb even a 40 watter if it did then the current must be greater than you assume.
If the current was greater ,you would certainly be electrocuted.
Try lighting a Light bulb with an Automotive Coil, guess what it wont work.
If you can match the impedance of the Light bulb you may have a better chance .
For example if you require a 50 Ohm match for an antenna using High frequency (RF) you can light a #47 Light Bulb quite easy.
Even 60 Volt DC given an amp or more can kill.
10000 volt at 1 ma or less will give you a the shock of your life.
Try touching an electric fencer ,just to mention one of many HV low current devices. Look at Tasers they are not supposed to kill but they can.
Just my nickel worth of Wisdom.

He probably was using a 12 volt continuity tester specifically for trouble shooting car wiring. If true, then low voltage, no shock. And if the electrolyte is conducting, then the tester lamp will lightup.
