  • I bought a dumpster size battery bank 8 years ago and turned them into alkaline. Last night the power went out due to very high winds. Late week same thing 500 trees were knocked down. This happens repeatedly in our area known as "Tornado alley".

All the same batteries I did not change to Alum disintegrated into mush. The big pack got special treatment in 2014 and sits a 12.6v. I ran 60-90 amps out of it (no problem) 4 hours and it didn't blink. It started at 12.2v fully loaded and ran for hours at around 12.00v

Here is how the 3rd world makes your battery plate.

The 3 lights constitute a 100 ma draw and they run 8-10 hrs all night long. Charging takes about 4 hrs using tiny pulses. I have discharged it 30 times and recharged. It only gets stronger, not weaker like an acid battery does.

PS I sanded into the plastic and use 15 minute set time liquid steel JB-weld for plastic. We will see if it works
