  • Bedini Propeller Amplification

This idea of course comes from the DWFTTW:
    http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...than-wind.html

    Here it is

The rotor's propulsion by the magnets will act as the wind or treadmill input to the system turning the gears. That turns the prop which pushes air and gives a counter push in the SAME rotation direction, which should give a speed assist to the wheel that would be faster than without the prop in this configuration.

That prop/gear pic I cannibalized form Spork33's picture.

Of course we don't want to overspin the wheel for the circuit, BUT, output CAN be put back to the input with various ways. If there was a generator coil assisting the harvesting of energy into a cap that is fed back to the front in one of several novel ways, the propeller very well could overcome the drag of the generator! I believe it will and if this is so, then this will be totally self running.

Of course the propeller and everything would have to be scaled appropriately for the wheel weight, size, etc...

Veljko Milkovic's mechanical oscillator does not have an opposing force on the swing back, it gives help in the SAME direction.
    http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...aw-motion.html

This is what the prop does on the DWFTTW on the little wheeled propeller cart models. The spinnign propeller doesn't work against it, the spin helps to push the gears in the SAME direction.

Anyway, I'm just posting this for food for thought. If that prop/wheel job really works like shown on the treadmill, then my idea proposed above should work.

Take off the propeller, RPM should slow. Add it back on and it should speed a bit. That simple test will tell the truth.

    application on pendulum

On a pendulum, but obviously won't work with the swing both ways. However, if the gear was connected by one of those gears with the flexible teeth that slide and lock into place in one direction but doesn't catch in the opposite, that will make it work because the gear would only be catching in one direction of the pendulum swing.

Maybe a kids toy wind mill can be used? They have gears etc..I was gonna use it to extract the fan kit energy(non reflective). I know what to ask Santa for Christmas...

First off that's a neat idea. if you are going to run a fan why not use the air for something useful too.

I have a few questions about this. 1) what's driving the propellor on the "wind" side? is the the fan on the motor? 2) If so what is the relationship between the drag of the fan blades, reduced drag from the added prop, and just not having the fan at all?...thinking more on the lines of perpetualness 3) Will it still run after you turn off the primary input power?

A thought for expanded application: why not setup a miniature wind turbine that drives a mini-generator? Afterall according to Bedini's and Watson's research, a driving force of a generator needs only to overcome the magnetic attraction of the magnets and the cores of the generator coils. And that if pulsed correctly the natural flow of current will assist the rotation of the generator head. the charge could then be sent back in through the front in on the ssg fan.

          more details

          Hi RedEagle,

          This shows you the concept:
YouTube - Downwind Faster than the Wind #7

The fan on the pic on the left side doesn't have to be there. I just used that pic since it was already there.

In the vid, you see the treadmill is moving the wheels. The wheels turn the prop. The prop spins and has enough air thrust to move it forward up the treadmill!

It is supposed to be impossible but apparently not.

It is a net gain in work.

Not over 100% efficient but over 1.0 COP.

As the rotor spins over the coil, that is equal to the treadmill turning the wheels. The rotor's shaft then has a gear that would spin the propeller. The propeller has enough thrust against the air that it imparts it's resistance against the air in the forward direction adding it to the motion of the rotor instead of taking away from it.

If the primary input power is turned off, it will slow down. BUT, it will be prolonged more than just running down itself. If the input was tied to a commutator that was on 90% of the time building charge in a capacitor then 5% would be blank off space and 5% could be a contact to discharge capacitor back to front battery while it is physically disconnected from the input. With the prop, it should give a stronger charge because of stronger induction from more speed into a generator coil for example. That would be a useful application of turning off the input switch.

The propeller should give enough assistance to the rotation to overcome the drag of the of the attraction to the core of a generator coil for example and break even and possibly even give a net gain.

A simple test to validate any of this is that if the RPM is faster with the propeller gear set than without. If so, then it can be applied to virtually any other similar application.

I might to a hobby shop here in town, I'll see if there are some gears I can use for this. Just seems to be a 1:1 gear - both gears 90 degrees to each other. One on axle and one on prop shaft. Unless someone beats me to the test

Anyway, this DWFTTW is VERY intriguing and makes perfect sense.

The prop pushing against the wind is helping to push the axle in the forward direction. This is VERY SIMILAR to the Veljko Milkovic' conceptually...that a counter-movement is used to push the system forward.

            Hi Aaron
            Great idea. Look at this:

I guess that John already tried that
It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.

              Bedini Prop

              Hi Jetijs,

That's a pretty machine. The first day I met John Bedini, this is the motor that he demonstrated to me. With each rotation, a computer monitor about 7-8 feet away had the picture on the screen shift and tug towards the machine. Very strong pulse!

That propeller turns by the magnet on the rotor spinning past the aluminum rotor on the prop shaft. It induces counter currents that turns the aluminum just like an aluminum disc in a power meter. Just demonstrating extracting mechanical work.

I crack up thinking about putting this DWFTTW prop/gear setup on a wheel shaft. I think I want to do it on a very mini Bedini SG! If it does increase RPM, it is all over with!

              Aaron Murakami

                geared up

With a propeller on the shaft, we can't get more than 1:1 ratio than that. The big prop on the bicycle wheel that John has I believe actually helps to keep the speed down as well as showing mechanical work by blowing air. It is a pretty good breeze by the way.

I thought it was supposed to be 1:1.

Anyway, the prop/gear deal must be geared up or something. That spork33 little model supposedly uses this:

                13:16 ratio
                1:1.23 or so?
