    That rim is steel and is magnetic - that is to make it easy for people to mount the magnets.

    Ideally, the rim is non-magnetic.

    I think the best you can do is try to search to the internet On how to build a Bedini. Actually, I have a little information about making this kind of stuff but, I want to clarify this first.
