    Hey,

About the rotary electro static converter, it is my understanding that it is a variable air capacitor, which is driven by a motor to vary the capacitance between minimum and maximum values periodically.

My questions are would the variable capacitor be used in an RC circuit? If so, would the output of the circuit be taken across the capacitor or the resistor and also what type of voltage function would be used to excite the circuit? Would an AC input be used or a DC input or something else?

Also, could you detail the parameter variation, for example is the capacitance variation function supposed to be synchronised with the AC input? This is of course if an AC input was used.

I am asking these questions thinking about how you would apply mathematical analysis to this circuit taking into account the capacitance parameter variation.

    Thanks.
