Thanks for that video AND all the work it took to build that little model. It isn't easy and it takes alot of time. I now understand what you mean about "bending" the two coils out of alignment to get away from the canceling effect and make the generator part work. Your "magnet less" design is something that I have been thinking about doing also.

I have been working with my little machine and learning a little more about what is going. I watched Peter's video again (all 2 hours) and that also helped. His "attraction" motor is interesting.

If you build one of those "Timeless Machine" designs ----I'll be right behind you. I don't know about you but I think that I would use much finer wire and go after reducing the friction big time. The "Witch" takes a big chunk of the energy but that old man "Friction" is real thief.

Hello Dear Friend!

Yes indeed the friction is a big thief...also if you note my huge Air Gap...plus the fact I built it so fast...did not prep the commutator elements perfectly equal either...at the end, the armatures looked like they belonged to a Mid Age Castle or Fortress kind of winch mechanism to roll up the huge front wooden doors...I may sell this idea to Hollywood...for a Science Fiction movie...

But this configuration is so strong at torque...that it turned out great...

I am pretty sure you will make a very beautiful one...not from "the past" like mine...

Having seen Lidmotor's successful efforts with his learning tool I am very much looking forward to your version UFO. Sounds to me as though that's the one that those of us with less experience (I'm including myself in that statement) should be starting with. Hopefully it will also allow more flexibility for modification so more learning can be had!

That is why I am here...to show you the ways...and then some more...
We have to make a difference...to be able to stand out, anywhere out there...and say..."It Works"...that to me represents my "Pay back" for my time here and in all my work...
The replications are everything to an Idea...to a Method...to a Model...without them...everything vanishes...losses value...and end up forgotten...

If I was not so sure about my findings..about my tests...about my machines...I will not have put a tenth percent of the effort I have rendered here so far...don't you think?
I have so much Material to disburse...that I could easily write a Couple of Heavy Books...However, I am disclosing here the Fundamentals, the Basics... as also the "More Acceptable" so far Technologies by our level of knowledge...

My Final goal...is not only to make a self sustainable machine...to be installed everywhere you want...Mobil or Stationary...but more, my friend...however, if I write it here, right now...must of You...will think, I have gone mentally insane...

I am 57 years old, semi-retired, and this stuff is how I spend all day every day. I am in the process of purchasing an old car with a solid frame that will allow me to take the body off and work to build an electric car. That is my major focus. That...and helping my dad, who is off the grid, put together a setup that will provide him with power when he needs it and the solar panels haven't charged his battery bank.

I have seen the possibility of doing this with the 3BGS system, which is why I am so interested in building your motor. I want to see what it will do when run in that system.

Got my scale at the store just now so I can measure torque. Now just have to rewind the motor again the right way.

But as I remember he did sincerely apologise to all those that he directed his posts to and he did say that he would not anymore post like he had then.

Thanks for the heads up wonza. UFO posted the link to the video about 8 hours after I'd posted my comment. The Atlantic Ocean is between us so I'm often reading whilst the US are tucked up in bed.

I'm now planning my basic build around the 'Timeless Machine' and the latest info from UFO about extra poles from stator windings.

Many have said it before but I don't think that precludes it from being said again. Thank you UFO for your magnanimous actions in this forum. I find it incredible that you have been prepared to divulge your lifetime's research to the world without any request for remuneration or favour when greed has got the better of so many in the past. Not only that but you are actively helping us and answering the daft questions that those of us with minimal experience end up posting. Your website alludes to the fact that you have some other very interesting areas of research too. I can understand why you might be reticent to post your ideas here and now but be aware that some of us are in complete accord with your thinking and if this makes us seem mentally insane to others then so be it. We're in the same boat together!

new vs old

hi again all

the attached picture shows the new and old motor designs side by side i think.
if someone can confirm the illustration is correct? then i can proceed to figure out the exact wiring and switching necessary to have both designs available on a single machine by rotating the magnets and throwing a couple of switches.
in the assymetric diagram on the left i have assumed the outer commutator contacts are the standard upper contacts while the inner contacts are the new secondary set.

my coils are wound in parallel bifilar design at close to 1 ohm per coil.

i know that recommended is to have 2 collectors per machine
but i broke apart one (8 poles 220V) so now i scratch my head

is there any way to use just the original one???? is very hard to remove from bigger motors.......

What is this?

I mean I know EXACTLY what is that patent all about, since I have worked very long and extensively in BLDC Design...and winding...it refers to the way the guy has displayed the two coils in an Asymmetrical Fashion related to the Stator Pole Arcs...nothing more...
If you were "familiar" with BLDC Windings...then you will see it right away...but obviously you are not.

I mean...I am not claiming "I invented the word Asymmetry"?...So, looking in the US Patent Database for that word will deliver quite some big Hits...


But If you wanna see BLDC's Motors that I have designed and built...here:

The modded configuration on the left looks correct. As for the original configuration, I'm not sure.
