  • o.o htz?

I have brainwave gen. software and some of the donated presets. One is suppose to be the sound a cat makes when it is purring. It has a lot of 0.0 hz plus other frequencies 16...25 or something close to that. Is 0.0 htz accurate? I'm not sure I got the abrev. right but I'm sure it's close enough for people to understand my question. Thank you for the information.

    cat purr frequencies

    Hi Rhozzi,

Hz is Hertz and is used to indicate how many time per second the sound is turning off and on. Whatever the Hz is...is the frequency (times per second).

0.0Hz would be no sound at all or it could be a single tone that is just constant but there wouldn't be much use for that.

16Hz is 16 times per second and 25Hz is 25 times per second.

I found this online for cat purr frequencies:

20Hz to 50Hz seems to be the most common one claimed and those would then correspond to a range of 20 times per second up to 50 times per second.

      p.s. on sound

p.s. a steady tone that doesn't turn off and on would be 0.0Hz since it is steady but technically, every sound tone/note does have a off/on vibration that is unique to each note but that isn't the frequency that brainwave things are concerned with...it is the off/on of the audible sound, whatever that sound may be.
      Sincerely,
      Aaron Murakami

        Golden Retriever pulse

Like to measure the response from my dogs tail wagging pulse as it hits the door in morning as it greets the new day with great joy each day!

To own that attitude is one of my life goals
