I heard you wanted to know about any suggestions we have for making the forum better.

I nice frill would be to be able to have a photo by our user name instead of that graphic thing.

It looks like it should let us when I go into my profile, but I have not been able to get it to upload a photo there. . .

This is not a huge concern but just something that would be fun.

Hi Jessica, photo upload works now.

Have to fix the avatar upload.

Username image upload works too.

When avatar upload works again, you can upload your pic but has to be 80X80 pixles and under 19.5kb I believe. Then that avatar pic, really your own real pic, will show up next to your name in posts.

Jessica, ok, in your profile, edit the username block.
Make sure the box is checked to show avatar.
Click the edit avatar link in there.

You'll be taken to the avatar editing page
towards the bottom, check the circle that says 'use custom avatar'
then upload your pic. It can be the same as your profile pic but make sure
width is no more than 80 pixles and height is no more than 80 pixles
and under 19.5kb.

Hi Aaron,

I've followed your instructions re uploading avatar but I am still having trouble.
When I get to the last step "check the circle that says 'use custom avatar'"
I don't seem to have it displayed. Am I looking in the correct spot? ie, on the page where the 15 other preloaded avatars already are?

(yes, the place with 15 other avatars)

there are 3 main sections on this screen.

The top is YOUR CURRENT AVATAR
The middle is PRE-DEFINED avatars
The bottom section is CUSTOM AVATAR
in that bottom sectin there is a button to check to
"Use Custom Avatar", click that and then indicate a
URL of a pic or upload one from your computer.

I have the two upper boxes, but not the bottom one

Hi everyone, I'm glad it worked.

I'm learning myself. I haven't moderated a board since the 1980's in the old BBS days from a Commodore 128 at 300 baud! And today people think 56,000 is slow! LOL

Many things have grown and there are so many options in this forum software that I probably won't ever use a fraction of it but nice to have the options.
